We stopped here for one night in a deluxe room with a lake view. Ok the lake view wasn't the greatest but the room itself was night and I still enjoyed the view. The only problem I had with the room was that Asian people walked right in front of the room (there was no path) and walked across the... More

We booked just the 'normal' room (no view) for around $110 NZD, and were pleased with what we got for the price. Yes, the room was tiny, but for x2 people it was ok. King bed was comfy. Large bathroom, kettle, mini fridge, TV with a few cable channels, free parking = all good. Great location too - across the... More

Kia ora allyt322, Thanks Ally! We really enjoyed your genuine comments. We agree that whilst the Standard Hotel Room is very small, for a budget price it can certainly fulfil the right needs. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself in our care. We hope to see you again. Best wishes, Andrew M Freak General Manager Peppers... More

We stayed at the 3 bedroom villa and the bathroom was not locking properly. You expect them to check before they give you the room. Not a good experience for me. Might stay at another hotel next time.

Kia ora Sushanth B, Thank you for your recent comments, and we note your reference to the bathroom door lock. This is certainly something we would normally inspect for, and ensure is fixed before the next arriving guest. We regret this was overlooked, and this has certainly now been actioned. We regret that this had a profound impact on your... More

We booked a lakefront room and were given an upgrade when we arrived. It was extremely comfortable, roomy, well equipped with great views. Quick walk across the road to the lakefront and shops/restaurants. The traffic was quiet. The only problem we had was when we were taking our luggage in from the car. Not enough carparks close to the rooms... More

We stayed for two nights while travelling around. The resort does look over Lake Tekapo but State Highway 8 is in between... However it's not a particularly busy road. We were on the ground floor and the room above had a very creaky floor. Fortunately the occupants didn't walk around too much at night. The breakfast was ordinary - buffet... More

We stayed for one night en route to Queenstown, and were given a large room above the reception. It was well appointed and comfortable but the one night cost almost £150 and didn't even include breakfast. Unlike every other hotel we have stayed in in Australia & NZ, they do not provide complimentary Wifi for which they wanted $5 for... More

We stayed here for one night and we liked our room as it had a nice terrace and lovely views. it was a short walk to the shops and cafes etc on the lake front. For the price, though, not value for money as WiFi is charged and is NOT free plus if you need a late checkout until 11... More

Kia ora Dizee2013, Thanks so much for your review, and I am really pleased to hear that you loved your room itself! Our twin studio room was in the front row which overlooked the Lake. When we went into the room it was a very small box with no view. The room was clean and tidy but the bathroom had quite a bit of hair on the basin and around the floor by the glass frosted window. You could barely move in... More

Stayed here for two nights on the way back from Queenstown. It looked a great place for a retreat. I had booked through one of the hotel booking sites, so wasn't totally surprised to find that we were in a small room, right at the back of the complex. I probably wasn't that surprised either to find that the room... More

We stayed here in April 2014 and it was the worst accommodation in our entire two week trip of the South Island of New Zealand.
