I would describe this accommodation as genuine retro. We really liked it. Not posh but very clean and comfortable and one I would return to. It's simple décor was really homely and there was everything you needed to make it a pleasant stay. The top veranda was a nice area to sit and enjoy the sun on a cold day.... More

Basic accommodation but perfect for a quick stopover in lake tekapo. Hosts were extremely nice and welcoming. On this occasion however we did not receive a room key so had to keep all of our belongings in the locked car and they had run out of wifi access. TV didn't pick up any channels either not that it mattered as... More

Found this accommodation on line and was not disappointed. Very quaint collection of cottages to suit all tastes. We chose Rowan Cottage for our 2 night stay. Being enthusiastic photographers the point of our stay was the Church of Good Shepherd and hopefully clear star studded night skies. The cottage was a very short walk to the lake and church... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Potting Shed and absolutely loved it. Really quaint little room with basic cooking facilities and a good electric heater. Wifi was included and worked well. The owner was really friendly and the cottages are a three minute walk to the lake and Church of the Good Shepherd. Definitely worth a stay!

I stayed in the larger studio by myself. It was very clean , I am the type of person that takes alcohol wipes to accommodation places to wipe down the remotes etc , whilst I still did it there ,I truly believe that they wipe everything down on every clean. I had one of the best nights sleep I have... More

We booked Rowan Cottage for one night and took our pet greyhound too. The cottage had everything we needed. It felt a bit like stepping back in time with the decor but we found it charming. The cottage was spotless, the beds had crisp white sheets and the shower was awesome! The free WiFi is an added bonus. There were... More

We stayed in Mina Cottage for one night. Our group was two adult couples (ourselves and visiting parents). The cottage was clean and spacious with a bathroom next to each bedroom. There was also a separate kitchen/dining area separating the two bedrooms with external access from both bedrooms. This made it a good option for two couples travelling together. Free... More

We booked one night at the Rowan cottage and upon checked in, we were surprised that we were upgraded to Mina cottage. The cottage was clean and spacious. It is located about 100 metres from the Church of the Good Shepherd. As it was so near, we took a stroll after dinner and breakfast to take some wonderful pictures of... More

Stayed on my own - very nice accom and clean tidy and cosy with everything clean and working. The staff were very caring and curtious. It was very cold and all the heaters worked - blankets. The view over the trees and gardens are fabulous - will stay their again. Thanks.
