Stayed with the family in their Caravan Park accomodation towards the end of our New Zealand Holidays. Excellent amenities and it cost only NZ$ 45/- for a powered Caravan site. (Please do not mistake this for a room)

Even during checking in we were regretting ever booking this accommodation. The miserable manager made me question why I was giving him money, little did I know at that point, he was going to make our over night stay with dear friends hell! A very bitter man with no social skills who definitly shouldn't be in hospitality. He was rude,... More

Motel was clean and had warm bed, but extremely overpriced. Was quoted $150 with a discount to $130 when booked by phone. Arrived late in the rain or would have gone elsewhere. Should be priced at $110 max. Very small and basic units. Friends stayed later in the week and agreed with us. Over the last ten years we have... More

We stayed 1 nite in a family unit ( Lakefront ) with 5 and 9 year old. Had everything we needed for self catering with a family. Small playground and Lake views right out front. The Park also caters for Backpackers / Campers and Vans and has other Room options to meet all budgets. These options cover an area of... More

This is a great value place to stay, actually on the lake (most places are actually up on the top road). Its cheap, the cabins look out over the lake and its just along the road from the walk to Mount John and the observatory. Definately the place to stay if you don't mind basic, but love location.

We stayed in an ensuite cabin with adult children which was a bit crowded (queen bed & bunk beds) but for 1 night was well worth it. We didn't spend much time in the cabin as we were busy enjoying Lake Tekapo. The cabins were basic but very clean & new with enough cooking facilities for light meals. Towels &... More

We stayed in a Motel Room. Wish we hadn't ~ it was poor and yet just as expensive as some of the better accommodation we had in New Zealand and we stayed in some lovely Motels. Basic is not the word for it. The welcome wasn't a good start. I got the impression they couldn't really be bothered ~ so... More

We booked an ensuite cabin, by the sounds of the other reviews this is the way forward! Parking was behind these cabins and the view in front was fantastic, and even had a grassy area to sunbathe or have your table. Our cabin was clean as were the plates, cutlerly etc. As someone else pointed out, the TV chanels were... More

We stayed at this backpackers on the way back from Queenstown to Christchurch. We had booked a double with en suite cabin rather that the motel room. The cabin we had overlooked Lake Tepako which was lovely. The location is very quiet and the cabin looked very new. The bed was rather soft but it had a double electric blanket... More
