This campsite is nicely set amongst the woods just up from the shore of Lake Tekapo, on quite a hilly piece of ground. The pitches with lake views are the best so ask for one (17-30). It's a popular site but has facilities well able to cope and lots of washing lines in the sunshine (discretely hidden). One of the... More

We've booked a powered campsite for 1 night. Having requested for a lakeview site, the view was indeed amazing! We had a great time picnicking at the campsite, overlooking the lake. The unisex toilets are clean. Water supply and grey water dumping for the campervan is easily accessible. The campsite is also very near the hot springs, and village centre.... More

Our cabin was very basic, but clean and comfortable. It was exceptionally cheap, but the view from our room was priceless. Perfect view over the incredible blue of lake tekapo! We drove past pepper's and thought that the holiday park had a much nicer location and vista. We were so happy to get such a fantastic view so cheaply.

Facilities not abysmal but poor by NZ motor camp standards, which are generally very good. Being charged $2 for coin-operated showers is galling. It shows that they're the only option in town. Try to find an alternative, although do see Tekapo as it's gorgeous.

Motel rooms are adequately priced and sized with superb views over the lake. kitchen is good enough to cook in and enjoy a simple meal overlooking the azure blue lake. A bit of trans-bedroom noise, otherwise a fine place to stay at a reasonably modest cost.

Most grumpy innkeeper I came across in new Zealand, rude and arrogant. Facilities dirty and unkept, lights did not work, no plugs for the electric blankets, no tea or coffee provided despite paying such an steep pricing.. No utensils at the kitchen, one out of three cook tops/ oven was not working. Such a shame, the only saving grace was... More

We paid 170 for mould in the bathroom taps that turn. Just not good value for money. So look elsewhere if you don't like mould.

We were on our way to Dunedin from christchurch and needed to camp for the night. We arrived around 7PM and went straight to the holiday park. The location is amazing, just next to the so beautiful lake tekapo. We were told by the old gentleman at the reception that lakeside campsites needs to be booked well ahead in advance... More

Location and views are fantastic. Price is no different to some other spots in town which are much newer and fresher though. Motel unit is simply old and sucked out, like stuck in the standards of the 80ties. Smoke detector was covered in a plastic bag (that is most probably illegal and dangerous), everything was somewhat clean (where you could... More

We stayed in the motel units at the top of the park the view if the lake was amazing The village is a five minute drive away where there is a good selection of shops and cafes we ate at Pepes which had good pizzas Our only criticism was the cleaner showed up at 2pm just as we arrived back... More
