We checked in late, and this was ok as we had informed the site. Nicely organised paperwork at reception waiting for us and we found camp site easily. Hard clay site, difficult to get standard tent pegs into. Went to reception in morning to register properly and was charged for our second night, having being invoiced on paperwork that we... More

The hostel is 10 mn outside the city. We have been to the camping area. The floor is horrible. No grass. Just some clay and rocks... I spend 2 horribles night. We wanna cook something for the dinner. Unfortunately there's nothing to cook. They don't supply any pan or stove... If you don't have your own... You can only go... More

I think we were given one of the best powered sites. Beautiful lake views from our van and not too far to the facilities. In spite of it being a weekend it was not too crowded although the noise of the power boats starting up early for the skiers was a bit annoying. The walk to the village is longer... More

We stayed for two nights in our caravan and were given a large site on a bank overlooking the Lake. A drawback was not having water on our site which we are used to up North. The Unisex facilties were excellent and very modern and clean. More camps should follow this trend. A drawback was having to pay for having... More

Stayed here in our camper van overnight. The Good: 1. Lovely view of Lake Tekapo. 2. Very close to town/ shops including the lovely Reflections restaurant where we enjoyed a good meal. 3. Good shower and toilet facilities. It was not unisex, thankfully, as some other reviews have pointed. Perhaps because our parking site was further to the back? 4.... More

Such a great location and facilities are sweet as! Lake is just there, shops down the road. We stayed in both a tent site and in a cabin with bunks and a TV. We loved both and would highly recommend this place to all cruising the area. Even had a baby bath in the shower block for bathing our little... More

Arrived late at night and site details had been left for us for our powered motorhome site. Site was tight in size. There was one set of Ablutions and these were unisex and insufficient toilets and showers to cope with the high season demand/volume of people on the site. Showers cost $2 for 10 min which was also inconvenient and... More

We have stayed here a few times, and although it is nothing outstanding (although the views are), there is nothing to complain about. Great meeting some of our overseas visitors and seeing how much they enjoy the scenery. The camp is well situated and close to town, and a short walk from the hot pools. The cabins are basic, but... An exceptionally beautiful spot. We booked months in advance and so got the prime spot with the view featured on their website. It is very popular in the holiday season so expect a fairly crowded camp. Toilet facilities generally very good (pay for showers, just $2); didn't use the kitchen so can't comment. Great activities on the lake - kayaking,... More
