We have stayed here before in a one bedroom cabin with full kitchen and large refrigerator It was small and functional and under $100. We returned this trip and stayed in a cute cottage with alot more room and an extremely comfortable queen bed, and two bunks in the same room. The kitchen/dining was seperate and was very functional with... More

This campground is in a lovely location in Stratford but it needs some serious upgrading. The bathrooms and showers are run down. The kitchen is rundown. The site is used by many permanent campers who have parked ancient trailers on the site. If you have time to get to New Plymouth for the night it is a better option.

Credit where credit is due- The lady that checked us in was really friendly. The grounds are nice, and it is on fact a pretty little park with a fair size kitchen and the camper bays are all hedged so you get some privacy. The entire camp could do with some modernising, everything is run down and tired. While the... More

I stayed here recently and would probably not stay again. Whilst the campsite itself is clean, tidy and very colourful, with lots of flowers, the cabin was pretty bad. It had a very old, stale smell to the room. Would be a great place if you had your own campervan or tent though.

Stayed here for one night on our trip around NZ. We stayed because of the location and because we could get a cabin for $60 with a small kitchenette area. However, we were sorely disappointed. The room itself needed some serious updating - I know for $60 we didn't expect a lot, but a hole in the wall of our... More

What a great little place! Only stayed for one night but will be back with the family as this place has character +. Very clean and tidy with buckets of personality and quirks which makes a nice change from some of the larger holiday parks that can be a bit sterile and loaded with lots of signs telling you the... We camped here for 1 night in May 2014. The kitchen and lounge were lovely and clean and cosy, the toilets and showers were clean and good. Receptionist was friendly and informative, and we went for a great swim at the TSB pool complex down the road. Couldn't fault it really! Had a nice chat with some friendly residents of... More

We stayed here recently in our motorhome, and it was a pleasant surprise to turn in there after driving through The Forgotten Highway. We were intending to stay at the Whangamonoma pub, but we found it to be less than friendly so drove on after a quick small beer. The Holiday Park is really clean and has nice gardens. Good... More

Our family stayed at this holiday park some time ago (we only just received their final response almost 2years later, - the only date we could list was jan2013 ). We had older parents and couples. For camping it may be okay, but suggest you rather spend a bit more money at other Stratford motels as we don't feel their... More

I arrived late and in good faith I paid for three nights as I typically stay in holiday parks and have never had an issue. I went to my standard cabin and it was disgusting - it smelt of stale smoke and it was so musty it made you gag. It was late so I aired the room out for... More

You were given a refund and happy when you left. You did not approach me until that evening which was seen to when you went out. I did not say the things which you are saying, no worker smokes in any room. If you had spoken to me prior to booking at another motel, this problem could have been solved... More
