In a quiet area close to the town and adjoining a sports field and river walk. Private pitches surrounded by hedges giving shade and privacy. Facilities clean but a little worn. Interesting collection of British Monarchy souvenirs in the office!

We had a tent site for two nights at the Top Town Holiday Park but the park has a range of accommodation, from very basic cabins up to quite new motel-type units. The location is excellent, with short bush walks and a lovely park right next door. The staff are very friendly and, although some of the shared amenities are... More

My partner and I stayed here for one night . We booked a site as we had a campervan . bit pricey for this place . $40 for site for 2 ppl. The owner is really friendly. The place is older but has everything you need , kitchen-fridge, freezer, oven, living area to watch TV or eat food . Toilets... More

Stayed 1 night in a cabin as we passed through. Cabin was cheap but comfortable. Showers/toilets could do with some work but otherwise was worth the stay. Perfect for mates on a roadtrip or a small family needing cheap accomodation. Front desk very friendly & helpful.

I was passing by Stratford heading to wellington. I need a place to stay overnight. I did pay 35$ to stay in a dorm with 12 beds. The smell of the mould was disgusting. I was the only guest so i had the freedom to choose my bed. Fortunately i had my bed sheet because their own bed sheet was... More

We have stayed here before in a one bedroom cabin with full kitchen and large refrigerator It was small and functional and under $100. We returned this trip and stayed in a cute cottage with alot more room and an extremely comfortable queen bed, and two bunks in the same room. The kitchen/dining was seperate and was very functional with... More

This campground is in a lovely location in Stratford but it needs some serious upgrading. The bathrooms and showers are run down. The kitchen is rundown. The site is used by many permanent campers who have parked ancient trailers on the site. If you have time to get to New Plymouth for the night it is a better option.

Credit where credit is due- The lady that checked us in was really friendly. The grounds are nice, and it is on fact a pretty little park with a fair size kitchen and the camper bays are all hedged so you get some privacy. The entire camp could do with some modernising, everything is run down and tired. While the... More

I stayed here recently and would probably not stay again. Whilst the campsite itself is clean, tidy and very colourful, with lots of flowers, the cabin was pretty bad. It had a very old, stale smell to the room. Would be a great place if you had your own campervan or tent though.

Stayed here for one night on our trip around NZ. We stayed because of the location and because we could get a cabin for $60 with a small kitchenette area. However, we were sorely disappointed. The room itself needed some serious updating - I know for $60 we didn't expect a lot, but a hole in the wall of our... More
