My husband and I just returned from a weekend at Estancia La Margarita and we are already planning our return trip. We were so well taken care of by the staff of Leticia and Lalo. The food was amazing, still amongst our favorite meals of our 6 week trip to Argentina - each delicious meal served with wine just when... more

We agree with the other reviews - La Margarita is the most peaceful and relaxing place you can find, especially after all the noise and rushing about we had done on our trip. We visited at the end of the season, so quite chilly at night and too cold for the swimming pool. But we were so well looked after... more

We stayed two nights and three whole days and really packed in as much as we could to our stay. We rode on the Pampas on the wonderful Criollo horses every day, guided by Lalo the Gaucho from La Margarita, visited the Pulperia (a truly authentic hardware/foodstore). Ate too much, especially the home made cakes at tea time and consumed... more

I cannot get over how wonderful this place was. It took me a few months to get around to writing this review, but even three months later, I still look fondly on this place. David and his staff were fantastic. The level of attention and service was amazing. They took care of me and all their guests so incredibly well.... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights / 5 days at La Margarita. This "gem" in the pampas was the perfect tranquil, relaxing, spot after 6 weeks of travelling. Neither of us had been on a horse for many years but Lalo or Carlos patiently took us riding, and we had a great time enjoying the beautiful countryside and big Argentina... more

After a week of being a busy tourist in Buenos Aires, four days at Estancia La Margarita was much needed. I was trying not to get my hopes up too high after reading all the wonderful comments here already, but it really was all that and more. Beautiful grounds, a very generous pool and an endless array of wildlife and... more

Having discovered La Margarita on Trip Advisor I have to say it did not disappoint if anything exceeded already high expectations. We started our trip in Argentina in BA then Pinamar and then drove to La Margarita (via Tandil, recommend XXXX for lunch stop). The house and rooms are just lovely, we had a perfect set-up for us and our... more

La Margarita was a real find. We can safely say we had the most fantastic time at the estancia, were completely spoiled by everyone and the five nights we stayed just weren't enough..... This is the perfect place to unwind, get away from it all and relax under the huge and beautiful argentine sky. We agree with all the comments... more

La Margarita feels like a home from home for us. We were made so very welcome and felt so relaxed and happy that we could have stayed for ever! And we pratically did as we decided we had to come back a second time on our extended honeymoon the next month! We were obviously missing the horses, dogs and Racquels... more

I can't recommend this enough! The estancia is about 3 hrs from BA which makes you feel properly disconnected from the city. The house is beautiful, clean and stands remote in it's own grounds. David is an excellent host (and entertainer if you are lucky!) The staff are superb, Racquel's cooking is not to be missed! If you are looking... more
