My husband and I stayed here this past April and used the reviews posted on here and the internet to base our decision on where to stay. We were aware that this hotel is off the beaten path however, it's really away from everything. The views were amazing and the scenery was beautiful, even though it was winter. There are... more

My wife and I visited Punta Serena for the first time the last week in February 2009, and had a wonderful time. We were there for 6 days and enjoyed every it very much. As others have mentioned, the property is not as glitzy and glamorous as many of the big resorts out there, but that is part of its... more

We had been here before , so we know what we were in for! The resort is a place that needs a lot of work, its very weathered and in need of a lot of work . We noticed that some improvements were being done. The reason that we enjoyed going back is for its beautiful surroundings and views of... more

Last year my wife and I visited Punta Serena. This year we are trying to find a place to vacation and we can't find anything that comes close. Yes, the place could use some polish around the edges but it adds to the charm. Once you come here you will want to come back. We can't stop thinking about it... more

We planned this trip a year ago but with scheduling conflicts we weren't able to go until April 2008. Air flights were Continental through Houston. The flight from Houston to Manzanillo was just a small regional jet but the flight was smooth and uneventful. The Manzanillo airport is right next to the beach. When you come in for a landing... more

Mar 21-26 2007 Punta Serena My wife and I visited Punta Serena looking for a relaxed laid back vacation and were not disappointed. The only concern I had was with the cab drive from Manzanillo Airport to the resort. My concern was validated. It was to say at the least the most harrowing cab ride we have ever had. Stop... more

My wife and I stayed the first of March 08. You always remember the first impressions. There is a fine line between a large facility with all the amenities and a small facility which lacks some options. This facility is strictly just for R and R. When we first arrived the only person at the front was a concierge .... more

We were able to get away for a few days before Christmas so we decided to treat ourselves. Our decision to stay was based on the reviews we read here at travelocity. For the most part I think the other reviewers were spot on. This is a lovely secluded resort that sits on a beautiful bay. The pictures do not... more

My husband and I reserved 4 nights at Punta Serena based on a recommendation from a coworker. It was nothing short of serene and we found just the peace and quiet we were seeking. The room was spacious and clean - a couple of minor issues with bathroom plumbing (leaky showerhead, odiferous bathroom sink) but nothing we felt strongly enough... more

We just got back. Outstanding! Excellent service, excellent scenery, excellent vacation. We took the taxi from the airport, about 50 minutes, pulled up, checked in, in the pool by 3:30 the same day. The room: great bed, AC, 2 movie channels with English. Food: more than I expected, very tasty, variety, written in English as well, excellent wait staff. (Some... more
