resort needs to rid itself of the tejons (racoon-like scavengers who pester outdoor diners) Service on beach was totally inadequate. Food was tasty but not artfully served. I think they could do A LOT more with the property. Need to upgrade amenities -- even soaps and lotions were not great quality. Robes, etc seemed tired. Sheets needed to be fine... more

Many things make up a wonderful getaway, and they are all in adundance at Las Alamandas. From the moment we arrived until the final wave from our security guard, the people of Las Alamandas create the experience. Whether the surprise birthday cake for my wife at dinner, or the bouganvilla pedals arranged in a birthday wish on our bed when... more

The first thing you notice in Las Alamandas, is the absence of things annoying. Not here the humming of engines and turbines and elevators. Not here the noisy breackfast buffet with lousy coffee stressed waiters and too much of everything. Not here the ridiculous poolscene with one girl telling a bunch of others how to move their legs and arms... more

We had a fantastic vacation at Las Alamandas. The grounds are spectacular and the staff was incredible and accommodating, and so sweet with our 3 year old son! We relaxed, swam, went horseback riding, and just enjoyed the spectacular surroundings and beautiful property. We loved the lovely grass area in front of our room as it had a hammock, lounge... more

The word best is not used lightly. I am a seasoned world wide traveler and this hotel can not be replicatred. I used the Cessna from PVR which was excellent. The accomodation was the Casa Duomo Master Suite (recently updated to include a whirlpool and Sky. In my iopinion it is the one to choose. The food was a pure... more

We just returned from a week at Las Alamandas. Words and pictures cannot possibly describe this Heavenly place! Absolutely gorgeous beaches, fabulous accommodations, excellent fresh and organic food, sweet and attentive staff, and an 80 degree (Fahrenheit) crystal clear ocean to play in! The exact opposite of touristy overdevelopment. Our newly renovated suite, Domo Master, was simply amazing; like having... more

I stayed at Las Alamandas for 4 nights at the end of August. Eventhough it was the rainy season we had an excellent weather. The hotel is really secluded and once you are there you don´t want to go anywhere.Anyway they have 4 private beaches and they make a reservation for you for the day if you want to picnic in... more

I live in Puerto Vallarta and thought it would be fun to spend a day at Las Alamandas with some friends. The hotel is about a two hour drive south of Puerto Vallarta. The first sign that we might be in trouble was the rundown condition of the entry gate area. Things improved when we got closer to the actual... more

AMAZING! This as our second Valentines stay at Las Alamandas...and it did not fail to be the most romantic, wonderful place to be. We are celebrating being together for 28 years - and Las Alamandas brings out the best of why people love each other. Only come here with someone you like - the property, the staff, the food, the... more

My husband and I just returned from a three night stay at Las Alamandas. My husband says I have "travel attention deficit" because with few exceptions (Phuket, Positano, Marrakesh), I seldom want to return to somewhere I've been, but rather explore the unknown. It is within that context, that I say that I simply cannot wait to return to Las... more
