I had a trip booked for Easter, staying at the Sunset Casa for 10 days. Unfortunately (or fortunately, whichever way you look at it), I landed a new job and had to cancel my much anticipated vacation. My refund was handled immediately with ease and grace, greatly reducing my stress over my cancellation. I can't thank Robi enough for being... More

Spent a lovely two weeks in May. The weather was just perfect. We were a little disappointed that some of the restaurants were closed as the season was almost over. We did find a few spots open including Hinde and Jamies, Café Arabe, Irmas, El Rodeo and Matejas to name a few. We loved walking the beach in the early... More

After 5 years of spending time in all inclusives we decided to spread our wings and try something different. We booked our vacation at Sunset Csa and we loved it. Dan and Robi and Milo the Schnauzer made us feel comfortable and welcome. The apartment was spacious and airy. The town was a short walk away. We loved the small... More

First off, I must say that we spent Jan/Feb at the resort and met the guests from Campbell River and Kimberly who gave previous reviews. I did not find them difficult or unpleasant in any way. They were always polite and I did not witness any unreasonable behavior or demands on their part. Although Robi means well, she can be very... I was not going to bother writing a revue but after reading these two negative revues I will. We spent two weeks there and found it to be a lovely choice. The apartments are beautiful and the grounds are spotless. We really enjoyed the walk to town for all the interesting restaurants. The pool area was private an quiet just... More

I agree 100% with the lady who said Rules, Rules, Rules! She and her husband were there the same time as us and everything she said was absolutely true. Robi was abrasive and noisy and we felt like we were children (instead of seniors) with her book of rules ...no flushing the toilet at night, no putting TP down the... More

Please see the response to Rules Rules Rules This was a very difficult group of people. I seldom went to the palapa when they were here and when I did it was just to be friendly and see if anyone needed anything These things mentioned are not rules they are suggestions for the enjoyment of the other people and to... We spent two months at Sunset Casa, if we had known there would be so many rules , ABC's, we wouldn't have stayed there. Our friends who visited had to stay within the walls of our suite. There is a lovely palapa beside the pool and we unable to sit there with them. Robi constantly interrupted our Happy Hour times... More

This was our second year visiting this great Casa. Dan and Roberta have become wonderful friends and we hope to stay in touch in the off season. My favorite time is when the BBQ is fired up and the sunset is in full color. Heading to the beach for some early morning surf fishing is my second favorite thing to... More

We spent two weeks at Sunset Casa in the Olmec Suite. We just loved it and had lots of privacy. The pool is exceptional and is solar heated which is not very common in this area of Mexico. The suite was nicely equipped and had a large bedroom with king bed. Location you can not beat. 5 minute walk to... More

Sunset Casa is well represented in the traveller's photos. It is a vacation rental where the owners live on the ground floor and the three suites are on the second floor. I would recommend this rental for mature travellers. The pool is wonderful and solar heated, an easy feat in this climate. There is a shared palapa near the pool... More
