Power has gone out twice, some buildings are operated by generator. When we call to report the outage we are told it will be a few minutes but then hours go by. Customer Service skills certainly lack in this area - do not tell guests it will be a few minutes if you don't know. We were also told that... More

Stayed 2 weeks as a RCI exchange. Service in some cases were slow, but everybody very friendly and courteous. The area experienced a major power outage while we were there and the staff relocated guest that were out over 24 hours. The coffee pots could have been bigger (standard 10-12 cups), but in Puerto Rico they drink coffee more in... More

My wife and I joined 5 other family members for a week of warm weather as a break from the extremely cold weather in the northeast US. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival with the manicured landscaping and natural beauty. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bath villa which was very spacious. The villas were adequately appointed and comfortable... More

Having read a bunch of other reviews on this site and others, we are a bit scared of what we might have when we got to the resort. First of all, Club Cala is part of a much larger resort complex called Las Palmas. Las Palmas is a collection of many resorts/timeshares/privately owned condos/houses, that is about 45 minutes from... More

Ours was a one bedroom one bath, sparsely furnished, water pressure was non-exsistent. Hot water was a joke, complained twice , they didn't care. Beach was very nice for walking, no swimming, rip tide. This place is okay if you take it as a low budget stay. Area is okay lots of nearby restaurants. No place near for breakfast, you... More

Stayed the last week of January in a 2 bedroom unit as an exchange from RCI. The name the property actually goes by is Club Cala de Palmas. Had called several days in advance of arriving and requested a marina-side room and was told one was available. Looked up on Google maps the location, as we would be driving a... More

We stay with friends in a 3 bedroom unit overlooking the harbor. Although it is a older facility it was a great place to use as a base to take trips to places in the area. The rooms were clean and we had two minor problems which were quickly corrected by maintenance. My only complaint is that wifi was only... More

We just returned from 3 weeks at Club Cala. I had read the reviews on this sight so was not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised. Knowing that Club Cala had a lot of stairs everywhere, I had called before our stay to request a unit with the least stairs possible. We were assigned a 1 bedroom unit right next... More

We arrived late, around 11pm, on a Saturday evening. We waited for 30 minutes while the girl at the front desk searched for our room. Our room was unavailable as someone else was in it. Our reservation was for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit. Finally after another search, she found a one bedroom, one bath with a foldout couch.... More

My family stayed in a 3bd room villa at Club Cala. The villa was large and easily accommodated 5 of us (mother-in-law) included. Unit 1044 had 2 king rooms and an upstairs loft with twin beds that our sons loved. There was a large private deck on the roof that made for excellent star gazing. (wish I could find marijuana...
