Great small hotel in a fantastic rural location, easily found. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The room was a good size, clean and everything we needed. The restaurant had great views across open fields to the river and mountains beyond. The food was of high quality and well priced. I would definitely recommend this... More

We held my mother's 90th birthday party at Kinkell House, around 20 of us and 4 young children. We had a beautifully prepared lunch then enjoyed each other's company in the relaxing lounges and conservatory. Mum toasted herself in front of a log fire all evening. Most of us stayed overnight. The rooms were very comfortable and immaculately clean. Delicious... More

I stay at this hotel regularly because of business in the local area. The views from here are spectacular. The friendly service and food are amongst the best I've ever come across. Nothing is too much trouble. To sit in the lounge in front of the real fire at the end of the day is just a joy. I can't... More

I have lived near the hotel for a couple of years, but never thought about going. How foolish was I! I recently had my 50th birthday celebrations there. Some of us stayed in the hotel, the rooms were clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. There is a choice of lounges to sit in before and after dinner, all of which are... More

As Chairman of the FSB in Ross-shire, my committee and I organised a recent members event at Kinkell House. I hadn't been there since shortly after it opened many years ago. We had around 20 members present. The hotel made the conservatory available for our meeting, furnished in very comfortable chairs, ideal for our purposes. The buffet was superb and... More

Best food in Ross-shire, mixed with a homely atmosphere and stunning location provides a memorable meal. The young, handsome chef, with the small hands, is creative and talented - the venison was of melt-in-mouth quality. Delightfully, he was also able to pull a boiled egg out of his pocket on command. The waiting staff were charming. We had the pleasure... More

If you ever feel unloved or unappreciated, come speak to Doug. He will make you feel like a million pounds with his airy and light lemon cheesecake with strawberries and his devilish chocolate fondant cake ensuring a culinary orgasm especially if an Alsatian Riesling has anything to do with your state of mind.

Stayed here on a business residential recently and cannot recommend this little hotel enough. Accommodation was beautifully presented, immaculate condition and with first class amenities. Dined in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the service and food were faultless. Beautifully located with panoramic views across to Dingwall and the Firth. Thank you to all of the staff whose... More

We stayed here about 18 months ago and were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the delicious meals. The dinner menu is not large, 4 choices per course, but the food is freshly cooked and well presented. The rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. We will be back.

Lovely room with very comfy bed. Both dinner and breakfast were superb Bar was small but very well stocked; nice nightcap in the lounge At night I switched off the light and it was proper dark - no street lighting to keep you awake and quiet after 1030pm Overall, I would recommend and will use this hotel again.
