We arrived from New Zealand the day before and couldn't find our way to anywhere to stay in Dumfermline. I was on a mission to find where my father had been born and lived in Fife before immigrating to NZ. We ended up in Burntisland. Driving down the street, we stopped and went in. Booked for 2 nights. Really great,... more

I have just returned from a long weekend at the Inchview and I must say the entire weekend was excellent. The room was beautifully decorated and the view from our room was unbelievable, I strongly recommend asking for a room with a view. The staff in this hotel where fantastic. Friendly, very helpful and all of them down to earth,... more

An absolute joke, the owner Ellen needs to go on a hospitality course, the woman is not cut out for this industry, very unfriendly, rude and unwelcoming. I also did not appreciate my credit card being charged fully before I checked out when I specifically stated that I would be using another card to pay the balance. Absolutely do not... more

The guest was participating in a wedding party. The Bride & Groom asked all guests to pay an average room rate so that e.g. guests with children were not penalised. The owners were equally surprised at an adult having an altercation with another guest, throwing a tantrum and losing his phone - which we located and returned with quiet dignity.

We had a thoroughly nice stay at this hotel. Our room was lovely, it was clean and fresh and as I am incredibly fussy about these things then that is good coming from me! The bed was very comfortable with quality bed linen and covers - and for the record - there was a duvet cover AND sheet underneath. The... more

My fiancée and I have just returned from an overnight stay at the Inchview Hotel. What a fantastic hotel, the owners were friendly and welcoming and we even got a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival. All the staff we encountered were warm and friendly and really gave the whole hotel a great atmosphere. Jo had booked us the room... more

Inchview Hotel is disappointed to read this review; especially so, when it is a local member of the community responding in this manner. During a two night stay there is ample time to raise any concerns for remedy during the stay. The real issue is the fine applied for smoking in their room contrary to The Smoking, Health and Social...

Stayed here just one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Greeted by the owner at the reception, very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful. The decor was to a very high standard and there was a lovely range of smellies in the en-suite. We were told by the owner that their food was great, so we went... more

On arrival, hotel open, bar busy. Advised restaurant closing within half hour, but not that there was nowhere else to eat! Bought sandwiches in Co-op and returned for drink in bar/lounge area which looked really nice. On return, just before 9pm, bar and hotel closed and doors to public rooms 'alarmed'. There was a breakfast room which was accessible and... more
