My husband booked this hotel for my overnight stay in Inverurie. He asked for a room at the back because of traffic noise. When I checked in I got my key and went upstairs to my room. The corridor leading to my room was dark and dingy looking and I felt my room was not much better. For B&B it... More

Visited for drinks & supper. Food was OK - I choose the curry option which was tasty even if the portion was minuscule. My friend choose the Fish & Chips which appeared generous & she assured me it was very tasty. Food is served in the rather large, old fashioned & largely unwelcoming dining room. The staff were OK but... More

Stayed in this hotel on Tuesday 27th May 2014. Was charged £105.00 for B&B and the owners should be ashamed of themselves. I was in Room 7 which had a double bed but the room was so small the door did not fully open into the room! The "wardrobe" was a cutting of conti board fixed into the corner and... More

Dear Guest Your Negative comments have been taken on board, unfortunally we can not pick guest and as the hotel was built in 1800`s there are floor boards that squeak but we have a on going in house refurbishment that hopefully will address your negative comments, we have changed our menus from last year and do have a new chef... I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights over a long weekend with friends on an annual fishing trip. This was our first experience of the hotel. Check-in process was slow due to no-one attending the desk but the member of staff was friendly and informative. Initial expression was fairly typical of what you would expect for a hotel of... More

I found this hotel when trying to get a reasonably priced place to stay while working in Aberdeen as even the Premier Inn's and Travelodges are playing the high price game. As other reviews have said it's not the most up to date place and it could do with a bit of re-furbing but it suited my purpose. Food was... More

Just ordered the rump steak, which cost £18.00. I asked at the time of ordering what size it was and was told that it was big. I then proceeded to order it. But, I was shocked to see the size of it when it arrived. It was the size of the palm of my hand. And a third of that... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your comments regarding your stay , we have addressed the problem with the steak changing the supplier and the cut of the meat and putting a size of the steak on the menu. we did compensate you for the disapointment by not charging for your meal and did offer a second choice free of charge... I have now stayed here twice and the place is clean but tired looking, with paper peeling from the ceiling and walls of the dining room to holes in the clean bedding. The en-suite was clean but the sealing around the bath is of a poor standard. The staff where excellent and very helpful and the food tasty and plentiful... More

I stayed recently for one night whlist visiting the area and if you go on other reviews, you would never stay here. My experience however was that the Hotel is not that bad at all. Admitedly it is not 5 star luxury but then not 5 star prices either although it was the most expensive of a 7 night tour... More

We had a lovely lunch here on Sunday, the food was lovely with a choice of three roasts and loads of fresh vegetables. We hve been many times and have never been disappointed. Shame that the dining room was so empty.
