Spent 2 nights here on a DBB spa break for our anniversary, from the moment you drive up towards the house you'll be impressed with the lovely grounds and house. The entrance staircase is impressive with its old style decor and many photos go the Gordon Highlanders, and this impressive tasteful decor in keeping with the period of the house... More

What a stunningly beautiful property with it's period features and lovely old paintings on the wall, great grounds to wander round with rabbits hoping all round you, just brilliant. The cleaning staff have to be commended IT IS SPOTLESS, well done the staff! The staff are warm, helpful and efficient in both the hotel reception and whilst dinning. the room... More

Over many stays my wife and I had experienced poor hospitality experiences with the previous management of Thainstone. We returned for one night b&b on 16 June 2014 expecting a much better value hospitality experience. Regrettably we were disappointed! The condition of the driveway from the main road to the hotel had more pot holes than the African bush roads... More

Ups and downs would best express our recent visit for one night at this hotel. We had booked a double room on a dinner, bed, breakfast and the hotel seemed quiet although the car park was busy. We were allocated room 203 on the first floor and found it to be on the small side with a sloping ceiling on... More

When we booked our youngests wedding the hotel was for sale, we were delighted when Crerar bought the hotel and started the renovations, they have made a very good job so far. Although a little disappointed to have so many wedding co ordinators since booking, I have to say they did a good job, but the recently appointed Angela is... More

Just back fom a 3 night stay. Hotel is to a very high standard. Most impressed with the 6 course taster menu and the excellent service provided by Louise. If I was to level any criticism it would be on the size of the bedrooms but having said that the facilities and cleanliness could not be faulted.
