Thainstone House Hotel is a friendly and peaceful place to stay yet within easy reach of the A96. It has all the facilities that one could wish for. Staff are friendly & efficient, the breakfast team were particularly good and the breakfast one of the best - highly recommended.

Booked on a special deal for DBB for 2 nights. Was located just before you go into Inverurie easy to find. The service was excellent, staff on reception were really friendly and helpful. We only ate in the bar which was good. It was a grill menu so not a huge choice but food was of a better than average... More

My family and I stayed at the hotel from 23-27 December 2015. We were greeted with warm and friendly staff as well as a table of try bakes available all day for residents. The lounges are very relaxed and cosy with couches and traditional fire places. Evening meals were fanstastic with a choice of dishes from the tasting menu that... More

Stunning!.Chocolates and wine in the room, how lovely, and a cooked breakfast in bed the next morning. The staff were warm and welcoming, as it was bonfire night dinner was served looking over the fireworks display at Thainstone, nice touch. The meal was fantastic and... More

I first stayed at Thainstone House in December 1994, and the memories of this grand hotel and its exquisite food finally brought me back last week for a four day break. Sometimes places we re-visit do not live up to expectation...this hotel certainly did. From the moment I was greeted at reception I was made to feel very welcome. Having... More

Simply delicious food and beautiful surroundings. The risotto was superb and my friends loved the steak! Their puddings are definitely worth saving room for too. Only drawback is the terrible condition of the driveway leading up from the road!

My parents and I spent New Year at Thainstone House for the 5th or 6th time (I've lost count!). This is a lovely old hotel, whose quaintness and shabby chic furnishings are part of its charm. There is a sense of history and character in this hotel that you don't find in modern, shiny hotels. Our rooms were great -... More

Lovely location. The weather was shocking so we were unable to appreciate the grounds fully. Staff were helpful and friendly. But..the room was so small was it because it was a "dog friendly " The food was disappointing. Sat in one of the lounges lovely fire, but it needed a good clean dust on all surfaces! Waited forever to get... More

Thank you all at Thainstone for a Great and enjoyable New years celebration. Special thanks to Colin, Neal, Louise and Morag who added that extra dimension to our holiday. Fireworks were spectacular, Piper and dancing were good as well. Dining in the Laird suite also provided that element of Special. Well done to All. Trevor & Allison
