Travelling in Scotland with several overnight stops means that every night is important. Our overnight stay with French friends couldn't have been better. The location and the buildings are perfect, and beautifully maintained. The converted steading is furnished and dressed with taste and flair so we are surrounded by lovely things to look at. Anne's welcome was warm and generous... More

Received a warm welcome from Anne Harrison and enjoyed the cup of hot tea and sconeson arrival. Was directed to a lovely restaurant in the area and then came "home" to a lovely bath and warm towels! Gorgeous ambiance and very close to Castle Fraser. Loved it! The breakfast was also superb! Excellent oatmeal! Definitely on my "comeback" list!

Stayed one night with my elderly mother. Our flight was delayed so we arrived pretty late, but we were still made very welcome. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Very nice breakfast too. My mum thoroughly enjoyed our all too brief stay. Thank you Anne.

This was our first stay with Anne but it won't be our last. We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Anne immediately made us feel very welcome and her home is beautifully set and an enchanting place to stay. The house is full of 'steading' character but is spacious, modern and immaculately kept. The bed and pillows were... More

This vacation was the first time we have stayed in B&B accommodations. This was a great end to our trip. West Mains Steading is a beautifully restored barn in the Aberdeenshire countryside. Anne was a wonderful hostess offering tea and coffee along with homemade cake upon our arrival. The room and bathroom are spacious, and although the entry to the... More

It's is possible the nicest stay anywhere ever. Why?
