We were at this hotel last week. The staff was very welcoming. The room was clean but had an unpleasant smell about it. I opened the windows and the fresh air cleared it out. Dinner was not as good as expected. I was unable to eat my maincourse as it was gamey. I had ordered duck. I sent it back... More

Pittodrie House was the stunning venue for my daughters wedding. On arrival the reception staff were welcoming, efficient and very helpful. My room was spacious, very comfortable and conveniently located near the beautiful ballroom. The grounds and gardens are well worth investigating, and the nearby Pictish standing Maiden Stone is an easy walk away, as is Bennachie for the more... More

We had a one night stay with our six year old in July 2014. Accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The rooms are well maintained and finished to a high standard. The grounds are stunning - hunt out the walled garden as it is a hidden treasure. The food was superb and beautifully presented. We had one service issue which was... More

I like coming here but today was disappointed. No haddock on the menu in the Snug Bar. As there is such a small choice of food in the Snug Bar it was very disppointing to not be able to have fish. Chips are lovely. Wonder if they want people coming to the hotel as it not that welcoming if you... More

Thank you for your review following your visit to our Snug Bar for Lunch. We are sorry that there was no Fresh haddock on the day of your visit. We always like to keep our menu items fresh and not frozen and on this occassion we had a higher demand on the previous day for haddock and we run out... More

My wife and I came to Pittodrie for an overnight stay. We were warmly welcomed and directed to our room. Room was lovely and cosy. We booked dinner for 7.30, came down to the snug bar for a drink. We were given canapés of the classic haggis Bon Bon , black olive Madelines and smoked salmon mouse on a tuille.... More

We have eaten at the restaurant a number of times over the past 15 years, but this is the first visit for a while and were keen to see if it had improved from previous visits. In general, yes it has, but it still has a long way to go to justify the pricing - as one reviewer said, 'a... More

I attended my friends wedding here and was knocked out by the setting. A well earned 4 star establishment. Beautiful rooms with all mod cons supplied, very comfortable large bed. One drawback however is the distance from the town and rail travel, taxi was £15 from station so take your car and stay the night. Bar prices outrageous but in... More

The Tap room was quaint but rather dark. We were put here because a wedding reception was going on in another part of the hotel and it was true to say we did not hear a sound. The menu was very Cordon Bleu and the amuse-bouches were "interesting".

Thank you very much for your review following your short stay with us. I was pleased to note that you enjoyed your dining experience. Took my father-in-law's partner along to Pittodrie House hotel as a gift for her 75th birthday. We had a lovely time. Greeted at the door when we came in and our coats taken and hung up for us. Beautiful hotel, attentive staff, wonderful setting but we stopped for lunch on Friday and I had a £10 bowl of the most nondescript soup I have had since I left school (and that was over 40 years ago). I THINK it might have been leek and potato but there was no real way to determine its origins. What a shame... More
