It was our anniversary and thought we would take a trip and have a couple of nights away and remembered a hotel we stayed in about 15 years ago in Bath Somerset when we went to see an open air opera . We remembered Coombe Grove Manor as an old manor house which was full of character and although extremely... More

Very run down, showers and pool particularly dirty and poor, atmosphere of not giving a monkeys about paying members. We get the impression they can't wait to remove health club membership entirely, having recently excluded all children from using the facilities. Current members were fooled into believing the new owners would implement changes for ALL members, this is not so,... More

GOOD, comfortable bed, tasty nouveau cuisine food (that means very small portions and arty presentation), balcony and excellent view over valley, large bedroom (Garden Suite), hydro baths in Country Club, plus steam room, large swimming pool BAD, fresh paint smell in room, 50m walk outside main building to Garden Suite (got soaked), walk outside to bar, in adjacent building!, yes... My boyfriends parents very generously purchased us the LivingSocial voucher as a Christmas gift. The deal included overnight accommodation in the garden rooms, 2 course dinner, breakfast and use of the leisure facilities. We were not disappointed. We arrived at 11.00am on a Saturday in January, just to leave our car there and head into Bath (Great to be able... More

Stayed here for a 4 night stay in December. It was a lovely historic building in a lovely setting. The downside is that there are only a few rooms in the manor house, so most people stay in the outside lodge/building, which isn't right next to the manor. On a summer morning when warm it probably wouldn't be as bad,... More

Stayed for an overnight break in Bath. Unfortunately it was raining for most of the day, which when you do much outside walking to do is not good. Reception and Restaurant in main building, but outside walks required to get to Bar and rooms. We stayed in top floor of Garden View block, which meant a long walk from reception.... More

Having had a family membership at the Combe Grove Country Club which is part of the hotel, we have put up with not exactly clean facilities, broken down washing machines with no towels available and endless building work which dosen`t seem to show off any great improvements, we have now been told that children (who already were only allowed to... The staff were awesome from check in to chamber maids, friendly and courteous. The hotel was lovely upgraded to a room in the main house amazing views. Lovely walks up out of the hotel to the hills above bath. The leisure facilities very comfortable and good. The meal was included and was unusual and good apart from my main which... More

Stopped here on a one night Spa Break deal which included two course dinner and breakfast. The Hotel is set in beautiful grounds, not far from Bath but really out in the sticks - quite hard to find in the dark which it was when we arrived! It's a lovely old stately home type place and the room was lovely.... More

The main building is being beautifully restored, and this is almost finished, it overlooks a deep wooded valley its own gardens, the spa/gym/swimming pool is 1 minute walk away, the Garden Rooms are about 3 minutes away, these are tiered to also give great views over the valley. All the staff we met were helpful, friendly, and want you to... More
