We stayed at the Broadoak for six nights between July 2 and 11. We had travelled from Canada to visit family in the area. The Broadoak is located in a nice residential area. The staff at the Broadoak were all very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the tea and... More

I have been visiting the Broadoak for over 30 years and I'm not sure the recent refurbishment and new menu is doing it any favours. I thought the extensive menu was a plus with lots more options than previously. The food is not what you would consider outstanding but reasonable for the money. I was there on a Friday night... I have just come back from my granddaughters first birthday and christening party at this venue and I have to say I am bitterly disappointed. Despite paying nearly 1,500 for the venue for 100 people, we had no interaction with staff other than them putting food on the buffet table in another room, one member of staff on the bar,... More

We recently had occasion to visit Ashton under Lyne for a birthday party and a group of us stayed here overnight. We were given a friendly welcome, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast plentiful and tasty. It was a convenient choice for a brief stay and we would stay again if in the area.

I needed a room for Saturday night after a visit to the Etihad Standium to watch the Super League rugby games. Ashton was on the tram line so this hotel looked like good value. It is actually a large pub with rooms (maybe 10+ or so) and I phoned to say I would check in late around 10:30pm. No problem... More

Fourth time we’ve eaten at the Broadoak in the last two years, this time it was Mother’s day. We had a table booked for 12.00pm for seven adults and two boys one under two and one under five. Drinks were ordered at the table. There were a few more choices than on the regular Sunday lunch menu. To start I... More

Friendly hotel with a warm feel, it's not my usual choice and feel it's targeted at the older market as the decor although looks new was old fashioned. The bed wasn't very comfortable and had a wooly blanket and a sheet which I wasn't too impressed with, not very hygienic. The food was ok. Nothing special, prices were maybe a... More
