Stayed for one night B & B, room basic but clean with great view. Staff helpful and friendly Good breakfasts with lots of choice Could do with a refurb - they are missing out on a lot of trade, but okay for a short stay. Hotel also, has parking with is very handy

We tried this place as other restaurants so busy and pleasantly surprised - excellent service for two fussy eaters and very good food ! Lovely location and happy to receive our three little dogs • recommend

The Cawsand bay Hotel has the best view ever, just great location. We were in a group of 10 last week. I hear you saying 'group service is always difficult' I'd agree expect we were the only 10 in the restaurant. That in itself should have been a warning. I had cod and chips, just 14 chips (I counted) and... More

We stayed at the Cawsand Bay Hotel once about 2 years ago and had a reasonable experience. The hotel is right on the beach in a pretty village. The only problem was that it could be noisy at night as people tend ( reasonably) to conjugate on the beach if the weather is good. Unfortunately, my experience trying to eat... More

Our room (2) opened virtually onto the beach. Fantastic views of the bay. Very comfortable beds, nice light, bright and clean room. No passing traffic so it is very quiet. We had dinner in the restaurant at a window table so again great views of the bay and the boats coming and going. The menu is quite limited but we... More

The setting seems idyllic but the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. We arrived on an early Sunday evening to a practically empty dining room with only 1 barman on staff who also seemed to be dealing with hotel guests arriving. We sat outside as it was a nice evening but wished we hadn't as the spectacular views were... More

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Luke and all the staff at the Cawsand Bay Hotel - you did us proud. My son & his then fiancée wanted to have their wedding reception & evening party at this beautiful venue close to their home. Although I believe the hotel has been under new management since about Sept.'13, I read... More

We had a meal here at the weekend, and must say we have mixed feelings. A couple of us went for a starter of soup, which was stated as tomato with crusty bread, what arrived was a watery soup with the smallest piece of bread I have ever seen. The main course of cod and chips was very poor to... More

Stopped in Cawsand on a rainy day last week, walked to the sea front cold and wet. Saw this place on the front advertising tea, coffee and cake, and thought why not, it does not look very inviting from the outside. We went up the stairs into a warm, pleasant room. The barman was friendly and helpful, he took our... More

The last time we visited, we only had a meal. This time, we stayed and ate in the restaurant and I am so pleased we did both! The hotel is right on a small beach and it was great watching the boats go in and out. Our room was spacious. Would have preferred a bigger bed and a bath in... More
