Arrived for 1 night stay to celebrate aunts 60th. So 5 family groups with children of various ages. There was a large wedding taking place and a meeting but staff very friendly and made to feel welcome. I had a refurbished room which was clean and pleasant. Could do with some sound insulation as you can hear the revellers on... More

We stayed here for one night and were glad it wasn't for any longer. The hotel was chosen as we were joining our son and grandson for a day on the River Great Ouse and the hotel has moorings for them to pick us up. It is set in a beautiful location on the river with views of the old... More

Nice hotel at a great location. Stayed here for a couple of nights. Hotel is clean and staff were helpful. I would say the hotel itself needs a makeover as s looking dated. The pillows on my bed were lovely however the bed was very hard which does not suit me. I will stay again as it's convenient and well... More

Almost everything was wrong with this place. Snooty receptionists. Below average food. Poor cleanliness throughout the entire hotel. Breakfast very average. It reminded me of a way overpriced Travelodge. For almost £100 a night this place should be decent as a minimum. One shining light was a Greek fellow that was the night porter. He's the best thing about the... More

Stayed overnight after a wedding reception, but wished I had booked in the pub just in Town. Checked in, got to our room to find it how the last person had left it! Went back to the reception to receive no apology, just it will be ready soon. Off to town which is only just over the bridge to do... More

Hello Nicky How disapointing to read your review I would find it most helpful for my investigation into your review if you would be so kind to inform me of your dates you stayed with us also which room was allocated. Yes I do agree some of our rooms require an uplift and it is something we are looking into... More

We have been coming here for years and returned the other weekend. I have a restricted diet of no gluten or dairy. Before I even had to remind the waitress she came over with a list of options for all three courses! Food was lovely and the view is so pretty over the canal and fields. I di fin towards... More

Had Sunday lunch here recently which includes a carvary. The choice of starters and deserts are ok but limited while the carvary is fine. If you are not particularly fussy then the meal is perfectly acceptable and indeed it was very busy / popular. I think it does have a loyal clientele. The hotel and restaurant is in a lovely... More

However i did find as it got busy we seemed to get forgotten about and took ages for plates to be removed. Also the servers wernt the... More

Went on a Sunday evening with family (party of 8) and had the set carvery. I have to say the meat was great and I for one had a lovely meal. And it's pretty good value too for £8.75 (starter's were good too at £4.75). Our main waitress was nice and corrected the waiter who brought us to our table... More

Such a beautiful setting and a place with do much potential in a very lovely thriving town.... The bar staff and waiting staff where run off their feet, the receptionist was running around trying to organise everyone. The toilets obviously hadn't had a staff member visit them fur quite some time .... Please please please someone organise and revamp this hotel... More
