I have withdrawn my original review because, like another contributor, I too spoke little Spanish and on the morning of our departure was persuaded that our bill was wrong and needed items added. On arrival in the UK, I then realised that we had in fact paid for five dinners and had only stayed for four nights. Repeated e-mails have... More

Some aspects of our stay were excellent - the gardens with swimming pool, fountains and trampoline were super and the bedrooms were nicely furnished. There were several stylish sitting areas both on the patio with an awning and inside the hotel and there were lots of books on the bookshelves in the public areas. However, there were several negative aspects... More

The Posada del Moro is perfectly situated in the small town of Cazalla de la Sierra with its many bars and restaurants. The hotel looks amazing inside with a very grand feel to the decor and the grounds are great. The room we stayed in was emaculately clean. My only complaint was the breakfast. When I stay in a hotel... More

We have just spent 4 nights at the charming Posada del Moro. The atmosphere is that of a country house and the owners are friendly and welcoming. The gardens and outdoor areas are pretty and there is a lovely pool with plenty of loungers and quiet spots to sit in. Unfortunately for us the temperatures were unseasonably low and the... More

This lovely small family run hotel is a three generation business and their emphasis is on making you feel at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable with large gardens and a pool for relaxing, but also indoor lounges to escape the heat....or in our case the rather lower than usual temperatures for mid-May. The food is excellent. We stayed... More

The web site gave a very good impression of this lovely little 2-star hotel, but the reality was a real surprise and bonus! Set on the outskirts of the, rather larger than expected, village of Cazalla de la Sierra, the Posada del Moro shines like a white beacon opposite a pleasant little park, ideal for kids who want to play... We stayed hear whilst the local Ferrier was taking place. The location away from the centre of the village made it a tranquil place to be. The rooms are spacious, clean and have air conditioning. Towels are provided for the pool. Because this is not tourist Spain drinks and food at both the hotel and in the village are really... More

I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights. The room was basic, clean and modern, overlooking a beautiful Moorish courtyard. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were spotless. Breakfasts are very simple rolls and ham with tomatoes (but cheap). The salt water pool is fantastic and the hotel will prepare the most delicious fresh fruit platter with fruit picked... More
