The drive up hill to Parador rewards you with an excellent view of impressive bridge that crosses estuary from Spain into Portugal and which you just drove across if you came from Portugal. The Parador is modern and looks comfortable and has a pool. We only stopped for a rest and drink before continuing on our journey. We drove onto... More

The hotel is magnificently located on a hill, overlooking the river and the sea. Rooms are large and offer nice views on the surroundings. Breakfast is excellent. A 20 minutes stroll brings you to the village center with lots of restaurants around the central park. By car you can reach attractive beaches within 15 minutes. However, the hotel offers a... More

I stayed at this hotel for business and was very impressed. The hotel was beautiful inside & out and the views were lovely. The hotel was clean, the rooms large and well cared for. I only ate breakfast in the hotel but there was everything there that you could want to eat. The fruit was fresh and presented very well.... More

This is a modern parador on the top of a hill overviewing the ocean and Portugal. The building itself is quite charming, what really is strange here is the service. While the lady in charge of the bar was really friendly, it is strange that in a 4 star hotel they serve you dinner in the bar instead of the... More

We stayed one night here as a base to check out the local area. We often stay at the Parador chain as they represent excellent value for money. This one was no exception. The hotel is clean and modern. The public areas have fantastic views over the river to Portugal and beyond. We had a spacious room on the top... More

The hotel is a nice please for a nice drink with a fabulous view over the river. Handy playground for the kids too! Usual surly Parador staff but Paradors would not be the same without them! The drinks were not too expensive and came with crisps! The hotel guests appeared to be tucking into Somme very tempting cakes too.

The room are large and simple and this one had a decent size balcony with an impressive view. The pillows were a bit ineffective but the beds were of a decent size. Staff in the hotel bar were oddly grumpy but reception staff were helpful enough.

This was our first experience with a Parador and we were impressed. Very good rate through Laterooms.com but beware, breakfast is good but expensive. Rooms are definitely four star with generous space and a balcony - sit and watch the sun set over Portugal as you overlook the town of Ayamonte and the River Guadiana. Service at reception was fine... More

The Parador is sited on a hill overlooking the Guadianna river with the bridge to Portugal. Our room had a wonderful view across and down over the town to the sea beyond. The rooms are well appointed with all the usual Parador touches. We arrived in time for a late lunch bar snack which, along with our free 'Amigo' glass of... More

The Parador has a superb location overlooking the Guadiana river ending towards the ocean. You can also see Portugal, the border bridge between Portugal and Spain. The hotel was quite empty when we went so we got a nice room on the top floor with best views. The pool and garden look very nice and peacful, perfect for enjoying a... More
