There are good reasons a few select hotels and inns repeatedly earn top ratings. We found Torre Palombara hits home on every count: a gracious welcome from a most acccommodating ownership and staff, lovely rooms (we stayed in La Colombaia, with its splendid rooftop terrace views), fine guidance from Leonardo on where to drive in the stunning surroundings and where... Both relaxing and romantic, the room was terrific, Leonard and the staff can't do enough for you, and the grounds and views defy words. This gem is not to be missed and is worth the effort needed to find it.

This is by far one of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed in - unfortunately it was only for one night. My husband and I were welcomed by Leonardo and his Mother and made to feel totally at home. Our room was magnificent with the most amazing view. It was a beautiful sunny day which allowed us the opportunity to... More

We stayed at Torre Palombara for eight nights during the first week of September 2013. We had not visited Umbria before and had decided to stay the full duration of our trip in this one location. It was therefore important for us that our choice of accomodation was both comfortable as well as well located for the purposes of sight-seeing.... More

We visited Torre Palombara during our roundtrip in Umbria! Driving to TP we were wondering how a place with this rating could be placed in the "wilderness". But as soon as we approached the gate we understood what a hidden gem we hard found. The property is shielded from the outside with fences and a gate, so one feel safe... More

We are a mature couple who were looking for a two day relaxing and charming place enroute from overseas travel to an active trip. The B&B was lovingly restored, having its origins in the 15th century. The family owners are wonderfully friendly. The rooms are well appointed and the evening we dined there, we ate under a canopy. The food... More

We don't have enough wonderful things to say about Torre Palombara. The rooms are beautiful & spacious - Leonardo even gave us a choice of which room we would prefer - we opted for a view of the swimming pool. If you ask he'll even show you his collection of toy droids & classic cars! The Villa is absolutely breathtaking... More

We stayed at the Torre Palombara for three nights, while it was not the most luxurious hotel on our trip through Umbria and Tuscany it was certainly our favourite. The rooms are very spacious and clean, decorated with an elegant gentleman farmer feel. the location is stunning with beautiful views from the rooms and garden terrace. We also enjoyed walking... When I booked this accommodation I knew I was in for a treat as I picked it based on reviews. What I didn't expect was to have my expectations exceeded by the host.. Leonardo and his mother. I was on my honeymoon and we have to say it was the best leg of the trip. We had been to Tuscany... More

A very clean, well maintained, villa in typical Umbrian style. Leonardo, the owner, really cares about his guests. He helps with planning the trips, give all the necessary information but does not captivate. This property belongs to his family for more than 500 years. It became a perfect mixture of contemporary luxury and old furnishings. The house is somewhat isolated... More
