I don’t think you could stay at a more friendly and hospitable hotel than the Villa Lecchi.  Family run, it has an excellent hotel manager (Laura), an excellent chef (her husband), cooks (mom and sister) and all-around helpers and technical assistance (sons).   They are kind and gracious people.  This property has been a labor of love for the family.... Absolutely charming historic villa. Fabulous views. Laura and her family were gracious hosts. Food very good. Such a wonderful family establishment. Sitting on the piazza watching the sunset is unforgettable. We highly recommend Villa Lecchi!

We stayed with a group on a tour of Italy. The views from the hotel are amazing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Laura and her family own the hotel, and she is available to answer any questions about the area. Her mother is a wonderful cook. When we left, Laura and her mom came out to the bus to... More

We are staying in a villa built 150 years ago as a private home. There are two additional buildings that also have rooms, but there are only about 35 rooms in total. Our room has a four poster canopy bed (like royalty), and frescos. The view of the countryside far below is breath taking. All of the delicious food served... More

Other reviews are more extensive so I'll just stick to the basics. If you are looking for a great property with incredible views with old fashioned family style service and meals, this is the place. Family owned and operated. If you stay more than a day you might start to feel like part of the family. Would definitely stay again... More

An old villa converted into a hotel. Some areas date back to 1500 AD. It is on a list of historic places, therefore all reconstruction takes place with strict restrictions. Despite this, they have managed to make it into many comfortable rooms. On arrival one is treated to a toour of the extensive premises, which include an old chapel, and... More

We stayed at Villa Lecchi for four nights as part of a group tour of Italy. The setting was so beautiful that it was hard to tear ourselves away for the planned side trips during the day. In fact, several people in our group chose just to stay at the hotel and enjoy. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the... More

We stayed here 3 nights while touring Tuscany with a group. Villa Lecchi became the most memorable stay of our trip. It is a restored 18th century country villa owned and operated by Laura and her family. We were assigned the "Tower Room" which had a spiral staircase leading up to a tower that was enclosed in windows giving us... More

We visited Villa Lecchi in May, 2014, as part of our Smithsonian Highlights of Italy tour. It was the perfect place to stay to visit the Tuscany Valley area. The food and wine served for dinner was delicious and just the right amount. Breakfast service was 4 stars with a great selection of cheeses, eggs, pizza, fruit and breads, coffee,... More

This is a fabulous spot. A family run enterprise in a grand building on top of a ridge with beautiful views across to San Gimignano. laura makes everyone feel welcome, her husband and mother do most of the cooking and her sister works hard in the restuarant.
