My rating has a lot to do with the view…if you get a balcony facing over the valley, the views are beautiful (I have attached a photo from our balcony). The location: Perfect. The point of staying at this hotel is to have a view of the countryside. Best rooms for this are on the second level, Rooms 202, 220,218,216. The hotel is all about the view! We stayed for just one night, but it turned to be a very special one. The view from the balcony is simply incredible, what some would call the view from the "Vera Toscana", with all the cipress and sinuous roads. Lovely view! This was our sixth stay since 2008 & thankfully nothing had changed in the 2 years since our last visit. Excellent, family-run small hotel within a "stone's throw" of evocative Pienza town centre & our favourite Restaurant in Italy "Latte di Luna". Balcony room with panoramic Val D'Orcia view, it doesn't get much better.

We stayed here 4 nights at the beginning of October. The hotel is very nice and offers some nice amenities including a fridge, a safe, extra pillows, a blowdryer, free breakfast, free parking and wifi in the lobby. Wonderful little hotel just outside the walls of the historic town with gorgeous views of the valley. Parking was free. The room was a good size and well-furnished. Reception staff was helpful, buffet breakfast was complete and very good.

A taxi is a must to get to the hotel if you have bags. Even without bags it is quite a walk. It is a very old hotel, and pretty awful all-around. Great little family hotel situated just outside the walled town of Pienza. The owners and the small staff were always on had to assist with anything you wanted. They gave us a warm friendly welcome. Located just outside the city walls, the hotel is a 5 minute walk from the center of Pienza. It has great views of the valley. The hotel is family owned and operated, and family members are almost always on site. Rooms are very clean and well organized. Breakfast is complete with freshly made-to-order coffees. Would stay here again.
