We had a WONDERFUL stay and would love to come back again. It was the most beautiful place we have stayed in Italy! The attention to details, the gourmet food and wine basket that were waiting for us and the feeling of really being taken care of couldn't have been better. We have even talked about coming back for our... More

We just returned home from a glorious week at Cretaiole. This was my 5th visit to Italy and staying here definitely made it the best. From the bountiful welcome basket full of local sausages, cheese, bread, cereals, vegetables, wine and more, to beautifully presented linens to books filled with suggestions for places to go and things to see on your... This place is fantastic!!! I went with my 70-year old mom and my 10-year old daughter (I'm 40) in July. We did a grandmother-mother-daughter trip. We stayed in the L'Oliviera room, which was perfect for three people (it would accommodate a couple with two young children too). The accommodations are really nice. We splurged and got the Dolce Vita package.... More

We can't thank the Moricianni family (Luciano, Isabella, Carlo) and the beautiful Carlotta for the most incredible Italian experience. We have fallen completely in love with Cretaiole. We feel privileged to have had the opportunity of being apart of something bigger than all of us and experiencing the wonderful activities on offer. They did absolutely everything to make an unforgettable... More

Our stay at Cretaiole (in Val d'Orcia) served as an amazing home and gateway from which to experience and explore the Tuscany region. The rooms were beautiful and well equipped with the comforts of home including a welcome basket full of cheese, meats, breads and wine! Isabella, Carlo, Luciano and Carlotta provided (and facilitated) an amazing array of options and... More

Like you, I read all the reviews and like me you probably thought, 'wow, can they really be that good?' The answers is YES and NO because it's better than you could ever dream it could be! I would simply say, don't hesitate, just book it!!!!! You will not regret it. But there is so much more to say than... More

If you can go to Italy just once, this is the place to stay! We saw the Tuscan Region with all it's beautiful vistas. The Moricciani family welcomed us as though we were family. Carlotta helped us with driving directions to towns, events, as well as where to purchase wine. Isabella called and made reservations for us at several local... More

A little oasis off the beaten path- a chance to experience Italy the way Italians do. A much slower pace, less tourists, more natives. Our hosts were very gracious in organizing tours, dinners and wine tastings. Each person we met thru creatoile had a wonderful story to tell, and welcomed us into their lives, vineyards, and restaurants like we were... More

This was our 3rd stay with the Moricciani family and it was just like coming home. We were blessed to be able to share it with our adult children and their spoused this time - they have heard us talk about it so much that they felt like they were missing out! As usual, Isabella, Carlo and Luciano didn't disappoint.... More

Cretaiole was a fantastic experience. We really appreciated the friendliness of the Moricciani family and was everything we could have hoped for. There were so many activities to do that we will have to come back, so next time we can just enjoy relaxing and the beautiful surroundings. We loved the cooking lesson, and the playground that kept out boys... More
