Our stay in Tuscany will always be remembered as such a pleasant one and it is due to this wonderful palazzo and staff. Joergen and Osmond made us feel right at home. They were both very helpful and will go to any length to make you happy. Their recommendations to restaurants and wineries around Tuscany were exceptional. The food at... More

We have just returned after our second visit to Palazzo Brandano and feel we have to tell people what a special place this is. We discovered it last year on trip advisor and will certainly go again in the future. It is small and intimate but at the same time we are given plenty of space and privacy. The Manager,... More

This was my fourth stay at this family owned and run hotel. An ancient building in a tiny Tuscan hill village, it was restored to an understated elegance by a family of German/Eqyptian hoteliers who have relocated to this area of Tuscany. The hotel boasts breathtaking views across the valleys and has a wonderful terrace. The rooms are particularly spacious... More

We have been fortunate to stay at the Brandano on 3 occasions now and have dined there too. On our most recent visit we were met like old friends and made to feel so welcome by the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. We were upgraded free of charge to the Botticelli room which is the largest , with its... More

The owner and staff are fantastic and will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable (and full of delicious food!). Charming, spacious rooms, pretty restaurant and bar, beautiful views...just great! The street is narrow... I (almost) had to fold my rental car's mirrors in to drive up to the place! Take the cooking class, sample the Egyptian(!) wine, and... More

The hotel is very nice, the rooms are ample and comfortable. Food at the restaurant is ok, but nothing to write home about. Location is very central to explore southern Tuscany and even a bit of Umbria. But Palazzo Brandano best asset is its staff. They are attentive, make yo feel at home (without being intrusive) and go out of... More

Our interest in Brandano began with the reviews from Tripadvisor.com. We were intrigued by all the positives experiences listed and decided to probe a bit further. The website was quite impressive, showing beautiful accomodations, as well as some history about the facility and the surrounding area. Once we booked the hotel, we were in contact with the hotel manager, Joergen,... More

My wife and I recently stayed at Palazzo Brandano in the small Tuscany town of Petroio for our honeymoon. We had read a number of great reviews of Palazzo Brandano on Tripadvisor and were extremely excited about our stay and had high expectations. With an itinerary that included a highly recommended hotel in Venice, the Hotel Eden in Rome and... More

October 20, 2008 My husband and I just returned from a lovely visit to Tuscany where we met our son to celebrate his Birthday. Our stay at the Palazzo Brandano was wonderful, starting with the welcome glass of wine by Juergen. The dinner selections suggested by Ousmane were fantastic. The scenry and setting are perfect examples of small Tuscan towns,... More

Our recent stay at Palazzo Brandano was just as delightful as other reviewers have described! This gem of a hotel sits on the side of the medieval town of Petroio, with rooms and terrace overlooking the gorgeous hills. It is a real retreat from bustling towns and cities, tour buses and crowds of people and yet is well located for... More
