Actually, to be more accurate, this rating should be about a 4.5 but that was not an option. We stayed here for 5 nights near the end of the season. As a result, we were the only couple in the place for the first three nights so we were upgraded to a superior suite. Ousmane was more than hospitable and... More

We stayed for 4 nights at PB in September and thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment of our stay. Ousmane was a great host and welcoming as soon as we arrived at the hotel, in fact he always went above and beyond to ensure we had memorable visit. He arranged day trips for us and suggested wonderful places for us... More

If you've ever heard the term "treated like royalty" it applies to Pallazzo Brandano. This was not like staying at a hotel it was like staying with friends that just happen to own a hotel. Osumane assured a good time for my wife and I taking us to wine tastings, cheese tastings and some of the best restaurants I've ever... More

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at Palazzo Brandano based on the TripAdvisor reviews of many others and we weren't disappointed. Our host, Ousmane, set up wine, cheese, olive oil, and pork tastings that were fantastic. I'm sure we never would have had such personal attention if we had chosen just any ordinary hotel. He also arranged a... More

My wife and I stayed at PB for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved Petroio which was a tranquil village with beautiful views over the Tuscan countryside. Nowhere was too far away and driving to them was never a chore. PB itself was a beautiful little hotel containing everything we needed and our room was gorgeous. I... More

Use Palazzo Brandano (PB) as a base to easily access Montepulciano, Montalcino, Cortona and/or various hidden gems off the Tuscan “route naturale” within easy driving distance/time from the sleepy village of Petroio. Location is generally 15-45 km (20 – 60 minutes) from the well-known more tourist-centric towns of central/southern Tuscany. We were received with a warm welcome from Linda and... More

One cannot comment this place without mentioning its host/manager Ousmane. He is unique, ultra personable. He drove us to the best restaurant in Montepulciano whereby only him could secure a reservation at short notice. The other host Linda is also very helpful. The hotel is as good as you could imagine from looking at the photos, only more organized and... More

This place is fantastic. We had a gorgeous suite - elegant, spacious and with an amazing view. Our children had their own room which they loved as well. Dinner at the hotel was absolutely delicious. The terrace behind the hotel is a lovely place to sit and take in the Tuscan countryside. But what really makes Palazzo Brandano stand out... More

Palazzo Brandano was one of the best hotels our family stayed at over our two week trip to Rome and Tuscany. When we pulled up to the hotel, someone came rushing out to help us get our bags and settle in. The rooms were very spacious and the staff made us feel like we were staying with family. Palazzo Brandano... More

LOCATION: Petroio is a tiny, lovely little village nestled amid rolling Tuscan hills. A population of probably sub-300, it's a charming place with villagers chatting across cobblestone streets, flower-lined balconies and passion-fruit vines above doorsteps. It's also centrally located; you can visit all the popular destinations in Tuscany and Umbria -- 30-60 minutes of a drive to most places. BUILDING:... More
