Palazzo Brandano is in a tiny village, Petroio, situated within easy drive of all the main "must-do's" in Tuscany. It's a beautiful old building forming one wall of the village with only a few rooms. It has all the necessary accoutrements but what makes it perfect is the host Ausmane and his right hand woman Linda - they really did... More

Mr Ousman and team were extraordinary! This lovely inn is located in historical small mountain town in Tuscany. The food , service, hospitality and ambiance are up to par with the highest expectations! A glass of wine as a welcome gift, breakfast in the room. Rent the suite. It is an investment for a romantic experience!!! Luc and Caroline from... More

Grand hotel with outstanding service! Rooms were comfortable and the location very quiet and peaceful. Perfect to base from for touring the vineyards of Tuscany by car. Dinner and breakfast were first rate. Excellent wine selection. Furniture is a bit worn, but still comfortable and (as typical in older biuildings) a severe lack of available outlets for electronics...all outweighed by... More

My wife and I stayed at the Palazzo Brandano for just 2 nights out of our 2 week vacation. We regret not having had more time. The Brandano is an ideal Tuscan retreat, in particular the small village of Petroio is a refreshing change from the other well known and overcrowded towns. Petroio is charming and picturesque, you can walk... More

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights. Osmound and Linda were amazing! They were so friendly and made our stay here relaxing and fun. Osmound arranged for us to do a wine tasting at a local winery - we got to spend 2 hours with the owner and then he also arranged for us to do a cheese... More

Perfect combination of historical and modern, elegant and rustic - Ousmane and Linda are impeccable hosts. Ousmane picked fabulous restaurants for us and checked to make sure that we made it to each safely through winding roads or Tuscany. He also took us to a small local winery and pork producer for a fabulous tasting lunch....really lived up to all... More

Just completed 4 days at this wonderful small hotel in Petroio. This was a great place to relax while in Tuscany. It was an easy drive to everywhere we wanted to visit. The town itself is very small and quiet. Palazzo Brandano has a lovely back area where we could sit in the evenings. It had none of the character... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights during our two week honeymoon in Italy. Ousmane was an incredible host/manager/tour guide/anything else you can think of. Literally, he dropped us off at dinner in a nearby town the first night, drove us to Montepulciano, organized a cheese tasting at an amazing nearby farm, and was constantly available to make... We stayed 3 nights @ Palazzo Brandano and it was the best experience of our 10 days in Italy. Petroio is a gorgeous small hill top village. It is not touristy at all which was super nice since during the day we did visit quite a few Tuscan tourist destinations. Coming back to Palazzo was a welcome opportunity to simply... More

Both Linda and Ouzmane are such pleasant hosts; you just feel welcome from the very beginning. They both are helpful, the service provided is outstanding. The palazzo itself is fascinating, enchanting, romantic and gorgeous. The food is handmade, the wine is perfect, the view from the terrace is breathtaking. All in all, In my opinion one of the best recommendations... More
