Our 5 day stay got off to a good start as we were upgraded to junior suite on 1st floor, which spacious and comfortable. Like rest of hotel, furnishings elegant, although shower in bath (no curtain) perhaps let side down a little. Free wifi a positive, and absence of airco not an issue during our stay due in part to... Stayed at Villa del Capella in the middle of May. The villa is gorgeous and really quaint. Our room was called Ciclamino which was on the 2nd floor with a view over the pool and the Tuscan valley. Just gorgeous. You can open the window and just look at the beautiful scenery. The room is rather large and has a... More

This hotel is very quaint and away from the tourist traps. The people working there were very friendly and very helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time. They made us feel very welcome during our entire stay. We also did the hot air balloon ride with them and had an excellent time!... More

We stayed at this family-run hotel for 3 nights. Upon our arrival, Sonia picked us up in town as we did not have a car rented. We were given our choice from several rooms, and chose the Papavero. We were the only ones in the building, separate from the main rooms of the hotel. Sonia's was kind enough to book... More

We stayed for two nights in October and had a lovely time despite the disappointing weather. The staff are very friendly and helpful which made our stay even more special. The hotel organises days out for the guests but if you want to do your own thing I would recommend hiring a car because taxis are scarce. Would definitely go... More

Thank you all at Villa La Cappella, for a super holiday. Patricio is an informative and organised leader. His wife and staff are superb hosts, taking care of all our needs, including feeding us all well, and teaching us to cook, even on occasion acting as chauffeuse. We visited interesting sights, and walked through lovely places. They even managed to find... More

My sister and I spent 8 days at the Villa, participating in the Autumn Walking Tour. This family owned and run villa is beautiful. Our suites were clean, comfy, and spacious. The owners, Patrizio, Sonia, and Diana, have put their heart and soul into designing, building, and running this gem in the hills of Tuscany. Patrizio was our guide for... More

Very nice buiding with generous sized rooms.Good size garden with sunny terrace - very pleasant for a drink in good weather. Staff including family all very helpful and pleasant. Plenty of good choices for breakfast and very good food for dinner. Good place to relax if you are not in a hurry as dinner is a rather prolonged affair. Don't... More

I don't know where to begin with our experience at Villa La Cappella. Every single detail about this place is flawless. Patrizio and Diana treat their guests as if they are their own family. My trip here was special because it was where I proposed to my fiance. My fiance and I arrived to Montespertoli a bit late on our... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A charming rural retreat dating back to the 12th century, Villa La Cappella enjoys a fabulous location amidst the hills of Montespertoli, the small town situated on the old road linking the city of Florence with the towns of Certaldo and San Gimignano. This exclusive property is named after the chapel (cappella in Italian) built in the middle of the fortified medieval residence in the 18th century. Meticulous restoration work has resulted in the transformation of the original buildings into a luxurious and environmentally-friendly country hotel, designed so as to be in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape. ... more   less
