Lovely setting near Pisa but on the coast. Romantic setting with breakfast served outside under a canopy. Too bad it was a tad chilly. Room was small and cramped but able to accommodate us and our luggage. Bed was not too comfortable for my husband who does not prefer a hard mattress. It was fine for me. Bathroom was a... More

We enjoyed a lovely one-night stay at Papaya at the end of our Tuscany trip and we were very pleased to discover it. Enrico is very helpful and friendly, our room and courtyard setting were lovely and it's a stones throw from the Marina and seafront! If you're looking for a nearby restaurant, we'd also recommend L'Enoteca which is fab... More

The owner, Enrico, is great. Warm, very caring. The lady at breakfast is great too. His gastronomic shop is a treasure trove of delights. Go there to picnicking on the beach. We follow a diet without gluten and lactose, and they have given us products exempt from these ingredients for breakfast on the patio. The room was tastefully decorated, very clean... More

B and B La Papaya is an excellent alternative to expensive city hotels in Pisa, away from the tourists and the bustle. Enrico is a helpful and welcoming host, he sorted out our one day visit into Pisa providing information, a map clearly marked with the highlights, and how to get on the right bus! The marina itself is very... More

We stayed for the second time within two years at La Papaya and it was once again a pleasant visit with good breakfast and comfortable, clean rooms. The prices are relatively high for a B&B but at least you are on the safe side with the quality of the service. Enrico took care of us and was a great host... More

Very nice place just a 15 minute drive outside busy Pisa. Very friendly owner and good service. Marina di Pisa is in spring time a quiet town with some very beautiful villas.

I wanted somewhere away from the usual tourist haunts & was a bit dubious about Marina di Pisa after reading about it being a bit of a run down town but it was perfect - loads of character, a bit shabby in some places but quiet, friendly, close to Pisa with regular buses. It's on the coast so there's handy... More

Enrico gave us a very warm welcome and treated us like good friends the whole time we stayed there. Marina kept the bedroom and bathroom spotless with clean towels every day. We used local transport for the first half of the holiday, - bus to Pisa 1.6 euro and train to Florence 5.60 euro - very cheap. We hired a... More

A really nice B&B in Marina de Pisa ... but a bit pricy. Look at the map - the B&B is situated quite some way outside Pisa. And you have to drive the same road for 15 minuted every day when leaving the B&B. So I wouldn't advise you to stay more than 3 days. The hosts are really nice... More
