Villa Catola was a wonderful surprise. A delightful building full of the atmosphere that comes from living in a house that's been part of one family for three generations. The standard of accommodation is very good and very well set up for groups to be self catering, using the exquisite dining room and kitchen. The situation is marvellous. Absolutely central... More

If I had to turn 50 this year, spending the week at Villa Catola with a group of special friends made the milestone birthday palatable! From the reservation process, to scheduling a cooking class and planning a celebration feast at Villa Catola, Fabio went out of his way to ensure the time with my friends who traveled far to mark... What a gorgeous place to stay. Fabio is a fabulous host and even took us all out to the family vineyard and made a few historical stops. Close to Florence or 'Firenze', is only about a 45 minute train ride and seeing how the station is so accessible with a quick 5 minute jaunt down through the backyard. We were... More

We were a group of eleven and had a wonderful week at Villa Catola. It is a great location, central to all Tuscany and close to the Chianti Classico region. The Bucine train station is at the bottom of the property only a 5 walk. All town facilities, bars coffee shop supermarket restaurant only 5 minute walk. Fabio, the owner,... More

Bongiorno! We had the pleasure of visiting Bucine this past summer with friends who visit every other year.. and to say we had the time of our lives is an understatement! The charming, rustic details and backdrop of the Tuscan hillsides combined with traditional, authentic Italian hospitality and food insured this will definitely not be our last trip here. Looking... I just returned from an amazing experience in Tuscany. Villa Catola is a beautiful property with more than ample space and is well furnished. The owner, Fabio could not have provided any better service. We arranged to have him take us to Assisi and Florence. He also suggested that we attend a local festival and provided transportation and joined us.... More

Villa Catola (also referred to as Villa del Teatro) is situated in the small Tuscan town of Bucine, one hour's train ride from Florence and 45 minutes train ride from Arezzo. Villa Catola is a 9-bedroom, 5 -bathroom, four-story villa located one block from the train station, the local COOP supermarket, and the center of Bucine. This is classic Tuscany!... More

We have just returned from 12 days in Italy. We spent 7 of the 12 days in Bucine a small town in Tuscany . It was a truly amazing 7 days. We stayed in an absolutely wonderful villa in town called Villa Catola. The owner Fabio could not have been more welcoming and friendly. He was there for our every... More
