Have stayed at this hotel 3 times , twice in the Apartments in the village itself and once in the actual hotel .. The place is idyllic ... The apartments feel like you are actually staying in a Medieval castle , and the Hotel is excellent !!! The drive from Pisa Airport is a doddle , and the view when... More

Placed in a fantastic place, surrounded by olive trees, this is simply heaven. Wherever you look around it looks coming out from a renaissance painting. And the villa... Oh what a place. Food, wine, history. Everything is there. A must go. Just one thing. Some small details are not well maintained. Little thing that make slightly unperfect a perfect place.... More

We stayed here for our 'mini-moon' after looking for a place we can travel to from Pisa airport , that was quiet and relaxing by night, but that enabled a good location for the option of travelling to other towns in Tuscany during the day... After a night in Pisa we drive to artimino and although these hills and bends... More

This review is a little late as we stayed there for a very happy week in September 2011. As other reviewers have said it's about an hours drive from Pisa airport, the last part of the drive is the worst with very narrow roads that climb quite steeply in places (thus the same on the way down!), the first view... This was our first visit to Italy and we found this hotel a great point from which to visit many key regions; we have covered Pisa, Florence, Rome, Siena and the Chianti valley plus a lot of sun lounger/pool time in two weeks thanks to a trusty hire car and the helpful reception team. One top tip, when visiting Rome... More

Our family of 5 visited the Hotel Paggeria Medicea with an "Adventures by Disney" tour. After the hustle and bustle of Rome, this idyllic Tuscan paradise was just what we needed! We stayed on the first floor of the hotel - which used to be the acutual horse stables for the Medici family's estate. The main house is now used... More

The location is idyllic with magnificent views. 200 m high you have a breathtaking view over the valley and you can even spot Firenze when walking to the tennis court. One tennis court is completely decayed. There are four restaurants in the neighborhood with the Da Delfina restaurant absolutely outstanding. The breakfast is disappointing with no eggs, no orange juice,... More

We came upon this hotel accidentally whilst looking for a self catering holiday in Tuscany and are so glad that we found it. it is the kind of place that you could go back to year after year! An easy drive from Pisa airport, a car is a must, but not to be used too often as lazy days by... More

You are greeted by a splendid Medici villa and a charming authentic village connected by a pleasant lane. Olive groves and vineyards all around you. This is one of the most beautiful locations in the world to escape the frenitic pace of 21st century life. This Medicci Villa and stables has been tastefully converted and captures the essence of past times with the comforts of good food and warm atmosphere. If you need to get away for a restorative break come to Artimeno. You will... More
