A smiling receptionist (Francesca) and a lovely welcome drink set the scene for a most enjoyable, but too short, stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful old villa with a lovely swimming pool in well-kept grounds. Parking is available. Our bedroom was comfortable (with a sitting room attached), and a small but functional bathroom. A good air... More

This was a beautiful hotel with great charm and elegance. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. A great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Lake Garda. The breakfast was great and the room was wonderful. The location allows for a pleasant walk into Salo, which is we found to be vibrant, and especially enjoyed the peaceful walks... More

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Laurin. The hotel itself is charming and has great views of the Lake. The staff are friendly and helpful and were willing to go the extra mile when we wanted to book excursions taking time to recommend the best places to go. The hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk from the main... More

My husband and I, along with my parents, stayed here for a few nights recently. It is a lovely and charming hotel. The staff members were all wonderful and could not have been nicer. We really enjoyed the breakfast that was offered as well. The only thing that didn't really work was the Wifi, but that wasn't a real problem... More

This hotel is to fall in love with. The architectury is beautiful, up to the art deco doors. The restaurant has a great and delicious selection of italian and interntional cuisine. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we had on our Italian trip. The restaurant has an inside part as well as a terrace part. When getting a... More

Centrally located in Salo, this magnificent building has recently had a complete renovation whilst still retaining many of the original features of this once magnificent house. The rooms are well appointed and the restaurant located in the original ballroom has retained the magnificent frescoes. The food is good but not great

For history buffs, there's something to be said for spending a night or two in a grand old villa once commandeered by Mussolini to serve as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for an ill-fated republic. The Art Nouveau architecture and decor, replete with gargoyle water spouts and green-and-white trimmed awnings, put one immediately in mind of the bygone days of... More

Fantastic hotel. charming character, wonderful breakfast.cannot in any way fault this hotel perfection. Its is not a typical tourist hotel it is a classy hotel, with classy visitors.and the service and attention to detail is outstanding. Five minutes to the centre of the town.very safe indeed. We stayed here for three nights. A beautiful hotel with amazing public rooms and a lovely garden and pool. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfasts were excellent and you had a lovely view of the lake from the terrace.

Pure joy, that is the only way to describe this hotel. Excellent service, nothing was to much to ask for. Lovely staff, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Treated my party as honoured guests. Would agree that it is not the best place for young children. But if you do go with kids, they will still look after you. On the whole... More
