Villa Fiorio is described on several travel websites, and reiterates the same amenities on its own site. However we saw few of the "standard" service offerings. We had a view of a blank wall and metal flue, with odd fumes on occasion. No air conditioning, no bathrobes, no internet connection, no safe and no room service. The writing table was... more

Stayed here for 6 days in July 07 and had a wonderful time. Started badly as we took a taxi from the airport in Rome because the car hire company we had booked with did not have our booking. The taxi journey cost 140 euros and the taxi driver tried to rip us off to the tune of 50 euros!!... more

This was one of the strangest hotels I have ever stayed at. Too far from the station if you are doing Rome all day, though I was in Frascati on business and couldn't stay at the Flora. The 20 mins walk into Frascati is preferable to a 12 euro taxi fare, and ought to be very pleasant in the summer.... more

The good news is that Villa Fiorio is generally as the hotel website describes. It is characterful and well located between Frascati and Grottaferrata and the beds are very comfortable (so long as you don't want more than one pillow as extras don't exist) HOWEVER- unless we were incredibly unlucky with the time of our visit (14-16 September) the Hotel... more

We went to the Villa Fiorio for my husbands birthday. We thought it was beautiful and all the staff extremely helpful. We arrived in the afternoon and as I was 7 months pregnant I was hungry. We had missed lunch but when I asked if they could find me something to eat they prepared a wonderful meal of cooked meat... more

Reviewer: Mature couple, Norway Beautiful old villa with lots of antiquities in beautiful and calm surroundings with a fine swimming pool. Kind service. Good value for money if you compare the prices of the hotels in the city of Rome. Still there is some substantial negative factors. The main problem is transportation. According to the hotels own website there shall... more

After a wonderful 3 weeks touring Italy by car my husband and I wanted a night outside of Rome before returning our rental car early the next morning. In beautiful Grottaferrata we were guided to a wonderful Grand Villa called Grand Hotel Villa Fiorio. It was beautiful and serene. The reception area is elegant and comfortable with many antiques and... more

The hotel itself was clean and well presented, but the major fault was with the overall customer service. Prior to my visit I called to pre-order a bottle of champagne, the concierge and I both agreed that the champagne should be in the room for 12pm. When we arrived at 12 pm we were told that we would not be... more

My wife from RSA loves to travel. I decided to take her and my 2 small children to Italia for the holidays. What a trip! The hotel was perfect for us. Just outside of Roma, so our children could run and play. Parks in the city. The city center is quaint and cultured. We spent more time in Friscati and... more

There seem to be a lot of negative reviews about the Villa Fiorio, which surprises me. It seems that most people haven't bothered to do their research before booking there. If you want to go sightseeing in Rome, then book a hotel in Rome! The VF is a good distance outside the city, and makes no bones about the fact... more
