Villa Romita is owned by the Grand Hotel Hermitage and is about 200 metres up a well lit private road from the main hotel. Originally built as a country retreat for the Neapolitan philosopher, Fernando Pepe in the 18th century the villa today offers a sense of peacefulness, relaxation and tradition. We booked through Thomas Cook and, on first arrival,... More

The villa is attached to the hotel and you are able to use the hotel facilities- restaurant, pool, lounge etc. The hotel and villa is a bit dated but somewhat charming. The staff are very helpful and professional and the breakfast is good and plentiful-we ate in the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The pool is very nice and relaxing and... More

The hotel is a little oldfashioned and the breakfast could be better.Howver the personnel was very helpfull. The free transfer to and from Sorrento is very convenient. We had a beautifull see view from our balcony.

We stayed here for two nights in August as we were attending my brothers wedding. The hotel was a pleasant surprise for us in that we had not expected it to have. Such good views. We had a corner room which looked out over the coastline and the mountains. Gorgeous. The balcony was perfect for sitting out on an evening.... More

The villa is a great places to stay, you have all the facilities of the hotel but are away from the main areas and nearer the village. We had a very large room with a balcony, the room was very clean comfortable if a little dated. The shower was tiny but never ran out of hot water. The only downside... More

This hotel and villa combo is a great idea for people who don't want to be in each other's company all the time, the villa is situated far enough away to feel part of it but not forced to chat to people if you don't want to. The location is stunning, the views are beautiful! I could quite happily sit... More

We arrived later in the evening and were greeted at the door by lovely staff. Some our luggage had gone missing at the airport, the staff chased this for us until it arrived four days later. Our room in the Villa was clean and well maintained and serviced every day. The room has both a safe and a fridge available... More

When we were first shown our room at Villa Romita, I must be honest, we were disappointed. It was a little dark, there was a slight whiff of damp and the plaster was falling off the walls. We felt a little gloomy after our long trip there. However, the staff were so wonderful and friendly that over the course of... More

The best things about this hotel are the close proximity to Sant Agata for evening meals and the pool. However everything else including the decor and breakfast are pretty basic. The complementary shuttle bus is handy and essential but ran at slightly strange times and not airconditioned! All in all we enjoyed our stay but would probably not go back... More

Despite the size of the hotel, we received a heartfelt welcome. It was on the last night before the hotel was shut down for the winter. We were upgraded to a lovely room with a panoramic view overlooking the bay. For dinner, they recommended 'Lo Stuzzichin' - a fantastic family run restaurant. All in all, it was a much welcome...
