We stayed here for two nights in August as we were attending my brothers wedding. The hotel was a pleasant surprise for us in that we had not expected it to have. Such good views. We had a corner room which looked out over the coastline and the mountains. Gorgeous. The balcony was perfect for sitting out on an evening.... More

The villa is a great places to stay, you have all the facilities of the hotel but are away from the main areas and nearer the village. We had a very large room with a balcony, the room was very clean comfortable if a little dated. The shower was tiny but never ran out of hot water. The only downside... More

This hotel and villa combo is a great idea for people who don't want to be in each other's company all the time, the villa is situated far enough away to feel part of it but not forced to chat to people if you don't want to. The location is stunning, the views are beautiful! I could quite happily sit... More

We arrived later in the evening and were greeted at the door by lovely staff. Some our luggage had gone missing at the airport, the staff chased this for us until it arrived four days later. Our room in the Villa was clean and well maintained and serviced every day. The room has both a safe and a fridge available... More

When we were first shown our room at Villa Romita, I must be honest, we were disappointed. It was a little dark, there was a slight whiff of damp and the plaster was falling off the walls. We felt a little gloomy after our long trip there. However, the staff were so wonderful and friendly that over the course of... More

The best things about this hotel are the close proximity to Sant Agata for evening meals and the pool. However everything else including the decor and breakfast are pretty basic. The complementary shuttle bus is handy and essential but ran at slightly strange times and not airconditioned! All in all we enjoyed our stay but would probably not go back... More

Despite the size of the hotel, we received a heartfelt welcome. It was on the last night before the hotel was shut down for the winter. We were upgraded to a lovely room with a panoramic view overlooking the bay. For dinner, they recommended 'Lo Stuzzichin' - a fantastic family run restaurant. All in all, it was a much welcome... This is very difficult to review, as with any review it is always a matter of personal opinion. The location is excellent, views of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples, spectacular ! Villa Romita is spotlessly clean. St Agata is a 5 minute walk and has a couple of nice bars and restaurants, also a couple of supermarkets, so very... More

This is a stunning place that is not in the centre of Sorrento, so be prepared to travel 20/30 mins into the centre. There was a free bus into Sorrento with taxis/car hire easy to organise. The Villa, which is a 2 minute walk up from the Hotel Hermitage, is a much better place to stay than the hotel, due... More

Stayed at the grand hotel hermitage. Dissapointed firstly with the location around 5 miles to the main town which the hotel supply a shuttle bus, if you don't book in advance you don't get on. Taxi is between €25-40. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic and the orange juice wasn't fresh considering everywhere you turn is... More
