After handing over my British passport at check-in, the desk clerk asked whether I am from Israel. It must be my Jewish surname. Anyway ... the reception became rather nasty, cold and unfriendly. I was treated in a very poor way which is rather a shame considering the very warm welcome that I received at other hotels on my trip.... More

Located in a small town seven miles outside Sorrento so away from the noise and activity of the main city but the town has a few restaurants, bars, shops etc just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel runs a frequent free shuttle bus to and from Sorrento throughout the day and evening (be sure to book the... More

Its hard to say what makes a hotel stay good or bad. From the moment you walk up to reception you are assessing the place, Here it starts with backlit marble, subtle but impressive, nothing over the top decor wise. The fact that in the two days we stopped there I didn't see one fingerprint on a mirror or mark on... More

We loved this hotel high in the mountain over looking Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. The shuttle bus service was very useful but the service bus stopped outside the hotel too which gave us extra flexibility.

We had a week here at the beginning of April, running over the Easter weekend. Our balcony had an amazing view of Sorrento and over the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius; you never get bored of the view which is constantly changing at different times of day and in different weather. The staff were friendly and helpful - both the... More

Returned yesterday from a week at the Grand Due Golfi Hotel. My partner and I had a brilliant week and could not have asked for anything more. All the staff were excellent and considerate to our needs. A special thank you to the restaurant staff for their superb service; we will miss Ginaro's lovely smile in the mornings and when... More

The hotel is beautiful with marble halls and staircases. Our balcony room overlooked the bay and Mountt Vesuvius. The restaurant is very grand and the only criticism was the limited menu. Everything else was wonderful. There is a bus stop right outside straight into Sorrento town but in St Agata are lovely family run restaurants.

We have just returned from a week's stay at the Due Golfi - what a fantastic hotel! We had a Thomson Holiday package, half board, breakfast & dinner. We were the last drop off in the coach; the hotel being the highest; the views were spectacular to say the least! We could not fault this hotel. The staff were second... More
