Our recent visit was a wonderful experience and the building was spectacular, overlooking the ruins of the Abbey and view of the Trim Castle, really puts American history in a different perspective. The hosts Geraldine and Edward were the most hospitable and gracious, were were never what. The location was perfect, everything was within walking distance for shopping and the... More

We stayed for one night while touring Meath. We were met with a friendly welcome and shown up the stairs to room #6 which had a beautiful 1st floor view of the river. Clean marble shower, flat screen tv, delicious breakfast. A short stroll to trim castle and pubs in town. Would absolutely recommend.

Highfield House was our first stop a couple of weeks ago on first night in Ireland. The proprietor was helpful with directing us to a restaurant for dinner that was within walking distance. The room was charming and clean with a very well-equipped ensuite bathroom. She prepared a wonderful and filling breakfast that held us over until dinner the next... More

My husband and I traveled to Ireland for our tenth anniversary and had the opportunity to stay here for one night during the off season. We really enjoyed our stay and the owners were very hospitable. Great room with all the modern conveniences in a cool vintage setting.

I stayed here in August as part of a bridal party for 2 nights. It was a lovely hotel but I have never received such a great service before. Breakfast was lovely (I had poached eggs on toast) one morning we were given freshly cooked scones, which was great. We had to move on to Trim Castle Hotel for the... More

We stayed here for the final night of an epic family trip, and we were all very pleased. The location was extremely convenient both for walking around Trim and for getting to the airport in Dublin the next day. Rooms were attractive, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, and the hospitality excellent. Feeding donkeys across the street was an added... More

Stayed 2 nights and loved the place. Very nice and spacious room with nice bathroom. Very nice host and hostess. Breakfasts were great. Our friends joined us very early in the morning but were allowed to have a full breakfast even though they didn't stay the previous night. Easy walk to castle restaurants in town. Highly recommend.
