Beautiful building & grounds. We had driven most of the day in the rain on "R"roads and upon our arrival we dropped our bags in our room and at the owners insistence were served tea and scones in the dining area . Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. We had a room at the front and noise was not... More

Recently stayed in this house which was very quaint. We only stayed for one night but we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely and served in a lovely dining room. As it is an old building you could hear the movement of other occupants in the nearby rooms, but I suppose this is to be expected.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, both at Highfield House and overall in Trim. I wish we had a full day in Trim - we chose it as close to Dublin in preparation for returning our car and our flight home. Our hostess welcomed us mid-afternoon, and prepared a delightful tea and housemade scones for us once we had settled... More

5* doest give this B&B enough credit, without a shadow of a doubt the nicest place I have stayed in, Geraldine couldn't have been more welcoming and the house itself is so warm, a real gem of Irish history wonderfully preserved in time. No issue was to big for the staff to complete for us, our room was warm and... More

The only reason we had for seeking accommodation in Trim was it's convenience to the airport. The only reason we chose Highfield House was it seemed to offer the best value in the area. How wonderful it was to have all our expectations exceeded. Our stay at the HIghfield House turned out to be a wonderful, unexpected highlight of our... More

We stayed 2 nights here. Geraldine and Eddie are very welcoming and made us feel at home. The breakfasts were wonderful, there is so much choice! The room was wonderful and very clean. Situated very close ton Trim Castle and Trim town centre. We will definitely stay here again.

What a perfect place to stay our first night in Ireland. If you are renting a car and need some open space to get use to driving from the right side of the car on the left side of the road then this is the place to drive to. But aside from getting out of the the bustle of Dublin,... More

We spent a night at this attractive and tastefully furnished large B&B near the Trim Castle at a major intersection. The B&B is more like an inn than a B& B. This was much more luxurious in decoration and style than any other B&B we stayed at in Ireland. The large stone house has window boxes with colorful flowers, and... More

Stayed here with three friends during a classic bike motorcycling holiday. At first glance, this is an imposing residence, set in its own very tidy and well maintained gardens complete with seats etc to sit and enjoy the view. We went inside to be greeted by the very lovely hostess Geraldine, a very bright, very lively and very informative lady.... More

I landed in Dublin, and called the highfield because my flight had been delayed and I was arriving at the B&B after 9:00pm. The owner is a lovely and incredibly kind woman she offered to pick me up from the airport! The place it's self is magical, clean, perfect! Must stay!
