We stayed at Highfield House on our recent trip to Ireland. The property inside and out is gorgeous. Upon our arrival, we were invited into the sitting room for tea and scones and were made to feel so very welcome. The rooms were delightful with many thoughtful touches and breakfast in the beautiful dining room was the best we had... More

Had booked here for the night of a wedding, when we got out of church had missed calls and a msg saying our booking was cancelled due to a leak and she had booked us into a different B and B.would have had no problem if it was the truth but this seems common practise due to over booking

Geraldine was a fantastic hostess and gave us great recommendations for places to eat in town. The location cannot be beat as it is close to the town center and Trim castle. Would definitely stay there again if in Co. Meath.

My husband and I recently stayed one night at Highfield House on the first leg of our drive around Ireland. I can't imagine our stay could have been any better. The photos of the home, beautiful as they are, can't illustrate what a lovely place it is...inside and out. The food at tea and breakfast was delicious. Geraldine is a... More

We had a wonderful time in Trim - really a great place to stay. The highfield house is beautiful. Our room were very nice and the location is great to walk everywhere you want to go. The castle is right across the road as is the river walk and a huge natural park area. If you follow the river walk... More

My husband and I stayed at Highfield House for two nights at the start of our Ireland tour. It was a delightful stay. The staff were friendly - we ran into one of them at the pub and had a nice chat. The breakfast was delicious - try the fruit salad! Our bed was comfortable and the decor was classy.... More

Stayed here in early June 2014. The facilities are great and our room was spacious, well appointed and clean. The B&B is located close to downtown, many great pubs, Trim Castle and a city park. Great location. We also took a day trip to Newgrange, Monasterboice and Battle of the Boyne, seeing all three in a single day's outing. Very... More

The only negative to our 2 night stay was the grey, rainy weather (but then, that's what keeps Ireland so green and lush). The tea and scones offered on our arrival were so welcoming after a long, rainy drive down from visiting Derry, No. Ireland. Our large upstairs room had a lovely view of the River Boyne and the ruins... More

Location couldn't be any better, right across from the castle. Elegant old-world style and the breakfast was tasty. Unfortunately we couldn't access the internet in our room -- had to come downstairs to the first floor drawing room.

Lovely family stay in Trim, Ireland. Right in the heart of Trim. Walking distance to the castle, great pubs, etc. Geraldine does this up right and for a very reasonable cost. Family could have stayed here forever. Don't pass up Highland House if you're staying in County Meath.
