Nested in the Pelion mountain, overlooking the blue Aegean and the near-by islands, Amanita over delivers on its promise: a traditional b&b, with Eco-fried,y frame of mind: breakfast: all you can have picked- up from the garden at dawn; a walk in the mountain: use the stone-paved paths to your destination; a swim in the clear sea: multiple options, none... A stone built guest house respecting the surrounding nature while having a marvellous view of the aegean sea. Managed with care and love by a beautiful couple and their son, offering top quality services, in particular a rich and healthy breakfast made from ingredients cultivated in their garden. A diner could also be served on request within the same healthy... More

We were staying at this amazing place in the middle of June for one week. The hotel is an absolute gem! It is hidden in the beautiful mountains of Pelion where the views are breathtaking. The house is renovated and beautifully decorated inside. There is a garden area where you can enjoy a glass of wine while observing the sea.... More

My husband and I were looking for a smaller hotel on Pelion and this was the perfect spot! Small, few guests, quiet, and oh my gosh THE VIEWS!!!!!! We were there the end of May and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel (really an old house restored beautifully) was perfectly clean and charming. The hosts are two of... More

I came across Amanita looking for a nice cosy guesthouse for a long weekend with the family in Tsagarada. The quality of service and hospitality is taken to unique levels and the experience has started before we even left Athens to head towards Pilio. The owner (Filaretos) has called in order to see what time we will arrive so everything... More

Amanita is a very charming retreat in Tsagkarada - an extraordinary green area where you sometimes feel to be in a jungle (and this is meant in a positive way). In our point of view you should once in your live visit it because it's a very extraordinary surrounding. We spent 4 days there in June and can just confirm... More

After 4 days in Amanita this June we can not agree more with the highly and excellent reviews this place gained. Both of us are Vegan and Gluten free which is hard to manage in this part of Greece. The attention, efforts and thinking Filaretos and his wife to our needs was remarkable, with special vegan dish for every breakfast... More

Amanita is a true labour of love. Filoretos' passion and attention to detail are not only reflected in the wonderful breakfast but in every other aspect of this guesthouse. Rooms are comfy and immaculately kept. I loved the herb garden and the jasmine at the entrance that gives off an enticing whiff every time you walk past. Thanks to Filofetos... More

Having just returned from a five nights stay at Amanita for the third year running my thoughts are these: Amanita is an elegant and characteristic stone villa in a beautiful setting, an intoxicating mix of steep slopes densely covered in native trees, sea views, the songs of the nightingale and the perfume of jasmin which pervades the air. Our room... More

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed our visit very much. Filaretos is a very friendly and helpful host who surprised us every day with big variety of his self produced products for breakfast. The house is in a very quiet surrounding allthough the village with restaurants and shops is just a short walk up the hill. The house is... More
