I loved my stay there. It was a relaxing follow up after a hectic week in athens. You definitely need a car both to get to the hotel (about 11/2hours from Volos)...and to experience many of its beatiful nearby beaches. The staff, including the manager Mr Gaitanos are very accomodating and nice. The rooms do need a little updating, and... More

As I drove from Volos up Pelion mountain, leaving beaches of Volos in my rear view mirror I began to wonder if I had made the right choice. As I started to get close to Tsgarada, and the view of this side of mountain beaches appeared I relaxed a bit. The hotel is off the winding road, not hard to... More

San Stefano is cosy and pleasant hotel. Personnel is very friendly and well-wishing. Location is great: in the centre of Tsagarada village, but not on the road. Sea view is from all rooms. The wood mountains are towering all around. The hotel lobby is decorated like a cozy reading room where you feel at home near the fireplace. There's an excellent... More

I have been pondering about writing a review - as the Manager asked me to when we left. Being negative about our stay there was because of the following: - Venue: The photos show a beautiful sea view and beach: the sea can be viewed between trees on the back of the building, but 10 km away down the mountain.... You will regret and lost money for all travel expenses. This place is NOT even close to 2 stars. I don’t have high expectation, but this place mislead from pictures, misinform. Pre-paid non-refundable meal weekly $350-$400. Breakfast was stale few small old cocktail croissants, few premade eggs, few pieces pita bread like, boil eggs, stale bread, yogurt, bologna, cheap water... More

Not fit for purpose as a 4 star hotel. Whilst the main hotel, rooms and dining area were adequate, the manager was officious & without any people skills. There are no amenities at the hotel. There was no bar, cafeteria, coffee/ tea making facilities in the rooms. The mandatory meal plan at 35 euros per person per day was to... More

Micky B We have just spent the last week at this awful place, we were told by the management on arrival after a 5 hour journey from Thessalaniki, that we had no choice but to have THEIR mandatory meal plan this cost us something over 500 eu for 7 nights and was paid in advance. Let me tell you that... More

We were very satisfied with the hotel overall. The rooms and the food was very neat, and the staff was always more than willing to serve. It's a cool place to stay in the summer. Finally in a short distance from the holtel there are many beautiful beaches and walking paths.

If you are visiting the Pelion, the St. Stefano hotel has a great location and is really a nice facility. The hotel lobby is spacious and comfortable with free wi-fi (lobby only). The breakfast room is great and the breakfast is quite good. Our room was well equipped; although the bed was very hard and the shower was teeny. The... More
