My wife and I travel a lot escpecially in Greece and have always had wonderful stays and this is the 1st time we have ever felt the need to write into TripAdvisor. We stayed at Villa Marise as part our trip around Crete. This was the most expensive place we stayed in and it proved to be the worst value... More

We choose to go back to wonderful Crete on a last minute decision right in the middle of august and we selected Villa Marisa/ Villa Europa in Paleochora. The town is a vacationer's dream and we believe it should be quite difficult to find a better spot in the world, for the money, of course. Besides, it is the only... More

We weren't sure what to expect from the reviews on here of Villa Marise & Europa, Particularly since there aren't that many recent reviews ... and I can only conclude that the reason that there aren't more reviews is that other guests are trying to keep the magic of Villa Marise & Europa a secret ! We stayed in Villa... More

Perfect for those who want their own room! The studios at Villa Marise are good value at only 40 euros a night including breakfast. Unlike previous review the breakfast is great, bread so fresh it is still warm, orange juice freshly squeezed, yogurt and honey as you please. For a small supplement you can have cooked items which are always... More

It's funny, like the review below, we stayed at a few places on a tour around Crete, but unlike the other reviewer, this was actually my favourite. I'd say it was mid priced, at around €80 per night I seem to remember. I loved the location by the sandy beach, and our room was positioned with a side sea view,... More

We stayed at the Ville Marise at the end of August 2011. We stayed at a lot of different hotels on this trip and Ville Marise was our least favorite. Our room was very plain and very noisy unless you had all the windows closed and the AC on. That said the room was clean and the breakfast was very... More

We stayed in the Villa Europa buiilding which I think is the newest one. Everything was perfect: the room (very modern), the unlimited seaview, the location (just 5 minutes walk to Paleochora center) and the beach that really lies in front of Villa Europa. The breakfast is included for those rooms that have no kitchen, otherwise it's 8 Euros. It's... More

The setting is beautiful, ocean beach view, on quiet main street. We stayed in the Villa Marise for 60E including breakfast at the bar, a little pricey but at the height of the season. The Europa Studios next door, has a lovely small pool, and the hotel is on the beach, the hotel bar is in the sand. There's a... More

We stayed in the new block at the Villa Europa, room 24 for a week and had a brilliant time. Had booked 12 months before, no deposit paid and were not sure what to expect but were welcomed by Anna and found the two room + bathroom ground floor apartment perfect for us with a two balconies, one directly overlooking... We stayed at Villa Europa for a week with our two children, aged 10 and 12 years. We stayed at the nearby Villa Marise in June 2005 so we already knew the area. Our children were spoilt for choice, with the pool (surrounded by a lovely garden) and the long sandy beach both on the doorstep. The beach bar was... More
