This hotel is very nice indeed. We were met on arrival with the invitation to visit the wine cellar for a complementary wine tasting...well it would have been rude to say no! It was impressive with 17000 bottles of wine including Petrus ( on the wine list at 3700 euros!). Didn't get offered that at the tasting! The Hotel and... More

We have been here a few times before, and this year stayed in the hotel both on our way to the Alps and on the way back, about a week later. Our two stays were surprisingly different. On the way out we checked in just before 6pm and were told of their new wine cellar tours including a tasting, which... More

It was a month ago we decided to spend a night there, a double room cost 160 euro which is not cheap for a 3 stars, however we came for work so that's why we went for a short weekend, the location is lost, you probably don't have anything to do in the whole area, and having a car is... More

We returned to stay at this hotel after a break of 3 years, having stayed there almost annually since 1992…..and it is even better. We use this hotel en route to the alps for our ski trip and it caters for such travellers very well. The rooms are comfortable, though can be a little hot and the restaurant caters very... More

It is true one need to understand and appreciate the effort and privilege to stay in such an old monument. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The service was extremely friendly. The hotel's cellar is one to visit even if it is to see wonderful wines that are too expensive to drink. The cellar has 15000 bottles of wine. There restaurant... More

Very friendly staff, with lovely grounds. I know it's an odd thing to review, but we really liked the doors - they felt very castle-y. We attended the wine tasting in the cellar, which was free to hotel guests. We enjoyed talking with the owner and sommelier while getting a tour of the cellar and kitchen area. (And enjoyed the... I completely agreed with one comentary on the cold reception while staying with Groupon voucher. An old lady at the reception was extremely cold, like we came to your own house and ask to sleep and eat ! Sorry, with or without a Groupon voucher , we are still clients! Not good wine taste, 15 euros per person is not... More

We stayed here for just one night and, on the whole, had a good experience. The Chateau is a large property with lodgings in different buildings. All are attractive and stately. Perhaps we should have been concerned when our room type was called a 'Charming Double'. Isn't charming a real estate term for small and in need of renovation? As... More

I am amazed at the negative review below......? We stayed here for a week at the end of May with Travel Editions with a group of 23 others. Our large, light and sunny room was also across the garden, (we imagine they get block bookings at a good rate?) but it was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and decorated and had... More

We arrived at the chateau, and were greeted by a female receptionist, who was all welcoming and smiling... until the point where I handed her a Groupon voucher. The smile fell off her face so fast I feared it would hit the desk. She took the voucher from me as though it were printed on used toilet roll, muttered to... More
