I recently had the opportunity to do the Beyond Band of Brothers WWII Remembrance Tour in Europe. We began by spending three days at the Mercure Omaha Beach touring the D-Day landing sites, museums and graveyards. The hotel sat on a hill overlooking the English Chanel. It has two lovely golf courses on property, including the Le Mer, which plays... More

Stayed for 3 nights recently taking in the coastal history. Rooms on the upper floor of main reception block were all dormer with limited headroom at one side which I found out the hard way. Would avoid these rooms if possible. Carpets/flooring hard Seagrass style, subsequently feet picked up dirt after being in shower. Pretty ineffective hair dryer but you... More

This is a comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Not far from the D-Day Landing beaches and historic town of Bayeux. Our superior room overlooked the swimming pool with a view of the golf course from the balcony. We had to stay an extra night and were given a privilege room, but we preferred our superior room with... More

Conveniently located to the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach in one direction and Bayeaux in the other, this French chain facility offered a good jumping off point for this part of Normandy. The charming village of Port-en-Bessin-Huppain is a pleasant walk or a quick drive and offers better dining facilities than the hotel. Dinner at the hotel was less than... More

The hotel consists of several buildings. We had reserved a standand room but we given an upgraded room. The room was good, clean, the bed was at least queen size. View to the golf greens. Breakfast was served in another building. It was sufficient, great quality nespresso machine were we could chose. The only negative remark is that they did... More

Stayed here for two nights as part of a tour. Had a privilege room. It had a separate toilet and bathroom. A little tight but fine. Room was big, bed comfy. Had aircon a free drinks in the mini bar ( water juice and coke). Breakfast had a nice selection. Dinner was good but mainly meat and seafood dishes. No... More

We booked through Brittany Ferries for a 6 night stay as it was conveniently located for us for a wildlife watching holiday. A hotel for golfers but as we aren't can't comment on that side of things. There were several coaches for the Normandy beaches staying for 1/2 nights only, but not a problem for us. Our room was on... More

Stayed 2 nights and had a comfortable stay. The flooring was strange in that is was some type of vinyl woven matt, not carpet, and it had a kind of sticky feel. The room had a queen bed in somewhat crowded space, and then an additional loft room was up a very narrow set of wooden stairs. This was a... More

We arrived without reservation and thankfully they had one room left. The room was lovely, big, and looked out onto the swimming pool area. It was expensive but we treated ourselves to one night. Breakfast was good. Did not eat dinner there because it was quite expensive. Staff very helpful. Would stay there again.
