We chose this hotel for three nights as our base for touring Normandy and the D-Day beaches, and we are so happy that we did. We stopped in Bayeux on the way to the hotel (which was only 15 minutes away). Our two rooms were on the ground floor in an out building a few steps away from the main... More

we spent in this beautiful majestic chateau one night last September the building and site are magnificent the room was large and comfortable but the bathroom was un friendly taps were very hard to use no curtain for the bath and very narrow place. We ordered half board so it meant and they did not tell it to us at... More

Chateau La Cheneviere is an amazing hotel with good sized rooms that were tastefully decorated. The linens and towels were very good and the bed was very comfortable. We stayed in room #415 and it was lovely with its own small terrace (but it was too cold to enjoy). The hotel sits on magnificently manicured grounds and has a staff... More

Drive in the tree covered entrance to a real chateau set in a park that is perfectly landscaped with centuries old trees, a lovely hidden pool and gardens reminiscent of the English countryside. Recommend a deluxe room in the main building. They are spacious and comfortable. The dining room has a certain formality and elegance. Excellent food and service with... More

This is a beautiful chateau with top of the line food and products (Locctaine everything, even the shower cap, which was also weirdly a great shower cap). We had our toddler with us and they left a bottle warmer, changing table, crib and even a video monitor for him. How cool is that?

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is convenient for seeing the D-Day beaches and visiting Bayeux to see their tapestry. Our room was spacious and overlooked the garden. We took a walk around the grounds and enjoyed seeing the fruits and veggies that would later be served at dinner. Unfortunately, even in early September, it was too cold... More

This is a classically French country chateau with beautiful grounds and good-sized, comfortable rooms. The staff was congenial and helpful. Our two dinners in the restaurant were excellent. Breakfast was also good, although overpriced. The pool was in a nice setting and heated enough that it could still be used in Sept. We enjoyed having the expansive grounds and well-equipped... More

This chateau is convenient to Bayeux and also very close to Port en Bessin. It's a very nice property and we had a lovely room. The staff was very pleasant. We had dinner there one night and breakfast every day. The dinner was good, the breakfast was underwhelming, although the omelet I had with chevre and mushrooms was really tasty!... More

A very comfortable hotel in beautiful gardens with friendly staff - and a fabulous restaurant as well! If you are inclined to indulge yourself or your loved ones, you won't be disappointed - we certainly weren't, though the same can't be said for the weather! My only negative is that we could have done with some new toiletries in our... More

The small hotel is just wonderful. Our room was the biggest of our trip and well appointed. It also had its own patio and garden. Staff was outstanding, both friendly & efficient. This hotel really requires you to have a car as it is outside of Bressin and walking isn't an option. It was certainly a hotel that allowed us... More
