Lovely and charming retreat for our french honeymoon. We did two days of guided tours and were mostly exhausted by the end of each day. This was the perfect hotel to relax and rest up for the journey ahead. Our room in the main house was very comfortable and peaceful. The amenities were quite modern for a chateau of this... More

Overall this is a very nice hotel for exploring the Normandy sites. Situated in a nice location and is a very well kept and comfortable property. Service was similarly very nice and the room was spacious with a very nice bathroom (we had one of the junior suites). The restaurant is also nice, nothing over the top, but has a... More

A flawless stay with great room ( 416) marvelous hospitable people, a wonderful breakfast and dinner, in a beautiful setting close to the Normandy Beaches. A pool is great on a a warm day. Just sitting on the grounds on a wonderful afternoon is worth the price.

Well-maintained lovely chateau and several flower-bedecked houses, set on park-like grounds. Ideally located for touring Normandy, especially WWII sites. Stayed four nights in late June in large, elegant, very comfortable room with modern conveniences, on 2nd floor overlooking quiet courtyard. Reliable WIFI. The staff is wonderful - all speak excellent English and are exceptionally accommodating. Dining room has large windows... More

We stayed for three days as a base for our visit to Normandy. This was a return trip for us. This was an excellent base for visiting the Musee de Caen, the Landing Beaches, and Mont-Saint-Michel. We had two rooms, both of which overlooked the rear of the chateau. They were spacious and very well appointed. Linens were very fine... More

We spent one night here prior to touring Normandy. It was a lovely setting with relaxed and comfortable, yet very upscale, rooms and public spaces. All furnishings are high end and lovely. the service was wonderful, especially in the restaurant which is fantastic. Definitely dine here if you can. It's actually very well priced for such an upscale and well... More

What a lovely way to begin our nine-day vacation that included touring Normandy and Paris and attending the French Open (tennis). From the moment we arrived at La Cheneviere, a feeling of relaxation washed over us. It's quiet and serene with beautiful grounds and fabulous service. A small boutique hotel with only 29 rooms, it feels very private and exclusive.... More

The location of the hotel is very convenient for exploring nearby D-day locations in Normandy. It is a five minute drive from Port en Bessin, which has numerous good restaurants. The hotel restaurant is simply outstanding, but we wanted some variety in our meals. The staff is very accommodating, and responded very well to our questions. The grounds are very... More

After spending two days in Paris we left for le Cheneviere to spend 5 days exploring Normandy. Oh my, what a world apart. This place was magnificent. We can’t enough about the staff and the accommodations. Everything was excellent from the moment we were greeted at the door to the day we left. Never did we stay at a place... More
