We stayed here 2 nights in a 2nd floor deluxe room that had a wonderful King bed, a thoroughly modern bathroom with shower, wifi access, and a nice view of the grounds. Every aspect of our stay--from initial communication and booking to arrival, meals, trip advice, and billing was all handled in a friendly and professional manner. The Chateau and... More

We stayed only one night and the experience was extraordinary. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The gardens were remarkably well tended and very attractive for a stroll. The cuisine features the best locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

Avery old Chateau renovated to modern standards on beautiful grounds. Has both a pool and tennis court and is near all Normandy sites. The restaurant is outstanding. They grow there own herb and the breakfast is wonderful.

I have several very special places in the English countryside that are truly worth what they charge (and more). Beautifully restored estates with period art and furnishings while offering rooms with the latest amenities and a superb chef. This is among their peers. The restored chateaux is the place to stay in Normandy. I recommend the larger rooms offered away... More

We stayed here for a few days in April while touring the D-Day beaches. It is a beautifully renovated former chateau set back from the road on parklike grounds. When we arrived after a really long trip from New York, it felt like we were arriving at a private home. We were warmly greeted and showed immediately to our room,... More

We spent three nights in April 2015 as a family travelling with a 9yr old. We loved our stay at this special hotel. The location is ideal for anyone looking for a base for exploring Normandy. From there we visited the Mont st Michel, the WWII landing beaches with all its museums and we even drove to Honfleur, Trouville, Deauville.... More

The best small hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The staff couldn't do enough to help make our stay magical. One night we had a yearning to play chess but they didn't have a chess set, so the manageress went home and got hers for us. That sums up our experience perfectly actually, so I'll leave it... More

This was a second time to stay at the Chateau. The first time was six years ago. I must say that this is our favorite spot in all of France. That is saying a lot for people who visit the country every year. The staff is friendly and make one feel at home. The grounds are tranquil and a great... More

We stayed at La Cheneviere in November. From the minute we drove up to the door in the dark and rain to the minute we checked out in sunlight streaming through the morning mist, it was perfection. For all that this is a luxury hotel, the staff could not have been friendlier. People are heard to complain that the French... More
