The location and grounds are fabulous. The restaurant does not disappoint. The staff is very young but helpful and competent. Great seafood restaurants close by in Port en Bessin. My wife and I spent two wonderful days at Chateau La Cheneviere. It is an elegant and quaint hotel well located to Normandy sites. It is only a short distance from Bayeux and Omaha Beach. The food and service is five star. The grounds are beautiful and picturesque. We will return. more

Now this was a really nice place. A chateau and grounds adapted to a hotel and restaurant. Spacious green gardens, old, old trees of various types. Several patios on which to imbibe. This hotel is in a little known town along the coast but worth getting out of the cities to experience. It is a short drive from Bayeaux so you are close to the town and DD Beaches but it is a word away from the hussle & bussle. more

The setting of this "chateau" can't be beat. It is set far back from the main road surrounded by tall trees and lush gardens. The atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing and quiet.
