This is a really interesting hotel with friendly staff who made us very welcome - merci encore! Ideally located to walks and cycling on the D-day beaches. The hotel has an excellent restaurant where we had a three course business lunch that colleagues enjoyed! The Casino is in front of the hotel and even if you are not templted by... More

What amazing staff - so friendly, helpful, accommodating etc... Got off the boat silly early and they let us check in at 7am as the room was not busy. Slept for a few hours before exploring. Perfect. Sadly we did not book the restaurant and it was full but we found another round the corner. Evening drinks at the hotel... More

Could definitely do with refurbishing and installation of a lift. We had booked via Booking.com but when we got there we were told our room was on the top (3rd) floor. My husband has arthritic legs and could not manage to get up there especially if carrying luggage. We were offered a room on a lower floor, which we took... More

The hotel itself could stand a good refurbishing and some sound reduction. Our room on the second floor was directly over one of the private dining rooms and was very noisy on several nights. The staff was delightful, although not all spoke English. We were able to get basic communications across, though, such as making reservations at the hotel restaurant.... More

This is a nice hotel, it wouldn't score so highly if it wasn't, but the website does show it's best features. Take a look at the guest photos and you'll get a beter view. The thing that surprised me was that we were given our key to a second floor room and shownthe stairs. Fortunately we only had an overnight... More

Stayed here for one night before early morning ferry. Small car park (free) but plenty of street parking if full. Friendly & helpful on checking in - apologised for making me wait due to taking a phone call, offered to carry bags up to the 2nd floor. ( No lift, not a problem for me but could be for others... Stayed for two nights before travelling on to Brittany. There are some quite steep steps up to reception and then more steep steps up to our room, I have quite severe asthma which was a bit of a problem. The room was small but very clean and bathroom was clean. It was pleasant to sit in the garden in the... More

Stayed as a stop over before ferry. No lift, on second floor but no offer to carry bags. Two people in room only one set of towels. Room very small. Felt in need of some painting especially bathroom. On the positive, nice garden with birds roaming round, close to beach and restaurants. Unsure if I would use again.

As a one nighter either arriving or departing France by ferry, this is ok, although somewhat complex to find. A better option for us arriving late at night from Portsmouth would have been a modern chain near a main road with parking. Parking at this hotel is very limited so street parking is the rule. We had room 26 which... More

Stay her one night while touring the D-Day sights. The hotel has a greate location, in easy walking distance to the sights in Quistreham. The room we stayed at was well kept and quiet big. The bathrom, clean and functional but a bit older. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant, truly a greate place. The food very tastefully and the... More
