This was the best start and finish to our stay in Normandy. Our hosts were great and very helpful. The extra touches in the hotel and at breakfast were very much appreciated. Would high recommend this B&B

Booked both rooms at this Chambres D'hotes for an overnight stay after travelling from The Lot. After a little difficulty in finding it I was greeted by Monsieur Rivallant who was tending the garden. Both Monsieur and Madame are the most charming of people and even though they do not speak English we were able to communicate effectively and were... More

My husband and I had the ground floor room the night before our early morning ferry to Portsmouth. We received a very warm welcome from Daniel and Suzanne, who loved to share the hsitory of the house with us. Suzanne was able to give us recommendations for our evening meal which was most useful. The room was large with 2... More

The "Petit Château" is exactly what it says, with mock battlements and period decoration. Despite its size (just 1 large room up and one large room down + small breakfast room), it is full of history, which the owner will proudly relate. The charming couple who run it bend over backwards to meet your every need and make you welcome.... More

What a lovely welcome we had from Suzanne and Daniel. It is an unusual building with a great deal of history which they love to share with you.It is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is a feast, nothing is too much trouble. It is so handy for the ferry just 300 meters, also for the many museums and beaches and Bayeaux with its... If you want to enjoy true French hospitality at its best and a comfortable, memorable stay in a classic old French environment then forget the chain hotels and stay here. There is no TV, no wifi, and the hosts don't speak English. But don't let that put you off - it is part of what makes this B&B special. Daniel... More

I was put in charge of the arrangements for our quick trip to France last fall, and I had several suggestions for places to stay. I presented the options to our friends and my husband, and everyone clearly wanted to stay in the little castle! Even though we staid only one night, we were all treated like returning family. Everything... More

What a great place to stay. We stayed on the first floor in a room with incredibly high ceilings, great carving (huge fire place) and marvellous tiles of thistles. Suzanne and Daniel are wonderful hosts and are rightly proud of their property. Suzanne will attempt to keep feeding you ate breakfast (with a lot of the produce from the garden... More

This has to be the most genuine and delightful place to stay in the Caen region, especially if coming from the ferry from UK. The rooms, decoration, furniture are all beautifully kept and maintained, the owners are meticulous. The history of this small chateau is fascinating (they will explain all - in French). The small gardens and vegetable plots an... More

A wonderfully placed B&B if you are catching the BF ferry to/from Ouistreham. Charming hosts, spotless accommodation, copious breakfast with home-made jams and tarte aux pommes and a fabulous garden. We will be returning!
