The only good thing going about this hotel, is the convenient 5 minute drive to the ferry port. We only stayed for 1 night thank goodness. We asked why the a/c was not working and were told it is now turned off as it's winter, despite being 23 degrees! We couldn't even keep the window open as there were dogs... More

We have travelled a good deal with varying degrees of satisfaction, noting with chagrin that properties occasionally embellish their features in the property/amenities descriptions. This can be true of hotels in smaller French towns and we had recently experienced this brand of exaggeration in Rouen. Happily, this was not the case here - This property was exactly as described (very... More

We spent 3 nights here on the way home from the Loire in order to visit some of the Normandy Museums and Beaches - very convenient location for that and for the Ferry. The Receptionist (who also acted as barmaid and other roles) was absolutely brilliant – very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable... More

This hotel is a short walk from the town. We were here with a tour group in September. We thought the reception and service was fine. The beds and bed linens were nice. The rooms had a couple of odd things ; the towels were very flimsy, and the room lighting was terrible-glarey overhead light, bad reading lights, and the... More

The hotel is good quality for a short stay. We used it for two nights as a base for touring the landing beaches. Room was comfortable, with a small bathroom. We used the buffet breakfast as the booking company had indicated it was included in the price. Much to our surprise it wasn't and we incured the surcharge for using... More

This hotel is in a very quiet location but only a couple of minutes from the ferry port. But the level of service was not up to Best Western’s usual standards. At the reception, we were given a swipe card for our room, but we found that it did not work. When we complained, the receptionist told us that we... More

The reception, on arrival, was basic with little information other than where our room was and breakfast times. Breakfast cost 13 euros each per morning. There is not a bar or separate lounge area. The lounge area was incorporated in a small space alongside the reception desk. The 1st of 2 nights we chose to eat in the restaurant. The... More

We've been through Ouistreham many times now but not thought to stop at this hotel. We certainly shall if we need to have an overnight there in future. The room was clean and up-to-date and quiet as well. Breakfast was fine in a light and spacious dining area. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Reasonable standard hotel, adequate rooms, bathroom a bit basic, but the star is their restaurant. Stayed one night prior to an early morning ferry. Had dinner in the restaurant, it was genuinely one of the best meals I had during a week-long stay in France. Good menu, food nicely prepared and presented, very good portions. Would certainly visit again.

This is a Best Western hotel, so do not expect an opulent interior. With that said, it was outstanding for the people and service. We were there on the 'off' season, in September 2014. The young lady at the check-in desk spoke English, and assisted us in getting our tour reservations confirmed, helping us to get taxis arranged to get to... More
