My husband and I fulfilled a dream and stayed at Domaine de Murtoli a year ago the last few days of May, just before the mandatory week long stay kicked in June 1.We stayed in one of the duplexes closest to the sea. There was a short sweet path to the beach. We explored ruins, photographed the amazing landscapes and watched baby... I agree with some of the other reviewers, it may not be everyone's cup of tea - but it certainly was ours. Its shabby chic meets Landmark Trust - and definitively more chic than shabby. After getting up at 4am and traveling for 10 hrs we were quite fed up - but after 10 minutes on the beach and a... More

I am not sure I can find the right words to define exactly the extraordinary moments I enjoyed at Murtoli but it is by far in Europe one of the best place ever on the mediteranean see. Murtoli is amazing from the beach to the houses which have all the modern comfort you are looking for. The decoration perfectly matches... More

I did not stay at this property but was invited to visit and spent several hours inspecting all, aspects of the estate. It is simply exquisite. The natural surroundings, forests, and beach are lovely. Being a lover of all things traditional, I was impressed by the restoration of the old farmhouses and the authentic way they went about the project. There... More

It was a long trip - from LAX to Nice, overnight in Toulon, ferry to Bastia and then to the Domaine Murtoli. We arrived at our abode (the A Muredda) mid-afternoon and experienced a taste of what Paradise must be like. The residence overlooked a pastoral valley, with a small pool, and lounge chairs under olive trees. The gentle Mediterranean... More

Warning, if you are lucky enough to go, there will be no forgetting the magic that is Domaine de Murtoli. That said, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for those with an open mind, hold on to your heart! Having enjoyed Domaine de Murtoli for the past three summers, and now going back for a forth, I... More

A more serene spot you will not find. A stay at Murtoli was like stepping back in time with today's amenities. The sheepfold we stayed in was fully equipped with top of the line kitchenware (duplicated in the outdoor kitchen, right down to the dishwasher). Furnishings were comfortable. The Grotto restaurant was incredibly atmospheric and romantic. Wear flat shoes. At... More

We were very excited to be visiting Domaine de Murtoli. Five nights in October 2014 at I Pini, a converted barn in The Valley. We had a difficult 18-hour journey, with a baby in the car, beset by unexpected problems one of which was a complete breakdown of technology. This caused us to be without the out of hour’s telephone... More

This place is quite special and different from anything else I ever did see! It is a lot like a safari in Africa.... just the fact that you have to drive 20 minutes to get from the reception to your house and another 20 minutes to get to nearest neighbor! It is the perfect place for a quiet holiday away... More

We have just ended an idyllic week at Murtoli. We stayed in 'I Pila' - the sheep fold that is one of the most remote on the property. Although I Pila is a 20 minute drive on dirt tracks from the beach, the place more than makes up for the drive in terms of privacy and luxury service. The sheepfold... More
